Or you could try Petmart. They do sell HO FLs that comes with a mixture of white and blue. Do give them a call to check if they have stock. Ahem... Maxspect LEDs are really nice for 1.5 Ft tanks...

Yup! You can stick just a bit of it on the wall and it'll work its way up.

I haven't seen them shift much sand around, just a bit towards the entrance of their hiding spot. Its a very nice dome like cave, with quite a few avenues to escape through, so I guess that leads to less sand bed disturbance.

I hope they are a pair! Followed the general guidelines to select one with a black spot on the pelvic fin and the other without it. I can't find much info on the sexing of these guys, let alone breeding them in captivity.

I think most of us have clutters of stuff all around the place... I'm already getting nagged at by my colleagues on the number of things placed in the office. You can find filter wool in the document cabinet, distilled water in the spare equipment cabinet...

Trying to stick frags to acrylic to see if it works out well. Even if it has grown on the acrylic, fragging it should be easier compared to the frag plug.

The only surviving ric in my tank... Colours taken under LEDs look more orangy, at least for my camera settings.

I second this... your photos are really tempting me to get into another money draining hobby!

I agree that the transition from T5s to LEDs (MaxSpect) will take some time getting used to. Its actually less bluish to my eyes compared to my T5 combo (ATI Aquablue Special x2, ATI Blue+ x1 & ATI Actinic x1). I do not experience any issues with my corals as I use light diffusers to acclimatize them to the more intense lighting. As my tank consists of mainly zoas, with just the blue LEDs on, the effects are really stunning. To answer bro straydum's question, if it does not impact my corals negatively, I will not replace the LEDs, but only time will tell.

Just installed the MaxSpect LEDs on my tank yesterday. Somehow, I still prefer the look of my T5s... Its really very bright, and I had attached light diffusers to allow the corals to get used to the strong lighting. Will continue to monitor the conditions.
