  1. So what are you gonna do with the MCE 500? Nano SPS tank?
  2. They could just be molting. What you see could be shells of those crabs left after molting. Some videos of molting crabs: Time Lapse Of Crab Molting
  3. Bio balls serve as a form of bacteria housing for beneficial bacteria to live in and colonize. They are fine in its purpose, but they do trap lots of crap and therefore, require frequent maintenance to prevent nitrate buildup. That's the reason why most seasoned reefers would recommend not to use them. IMO, live rocks serve as the best and the most natural form of bio media. If you must have other forms of bio filtration, biohomme would be a good choice, as suggested by bro bugattilambo.
  4. Reserved. Will inform the next in line if buyer backs out.
  5. Up for grabs again. First guy arranged to pick up the fish, but no show.
  6. Nano tanks = less equipment, more water changes
  7. Fish is currently reserved. Thanks for your interest!
  8. As above. Attached is a photo taken from the net. Will take a picture of my fish tmr. Selling at $5. Collection place Serangoon North Ave 5. Fish is already in betta box. Weekdays from 9.30am to 5.30pm. I can be reached @ 9236 4936.
  9. Thanks for the comprehensive advise! One more question: how much should I use to soak, say, a cube of mysis for feeding?
  10. I just bought a bottle of Praziquantel, and the instructions are as follows: Praziquantel (250ml) 1ml per 10L Repeat dosage on day 3 if needed. Remove carbon & skimmer during treatment Shake well before use. Do not use with worms & xenia Medication is removed with carbon & skimming 1. Is this only meant for quarantine treatment, or can I use it for the entire tank? I have xenias though... 2. How long do I need to keep the fish in treatment (assuming quarantine) before releasing it to the main tank? 3. What are the signs to look out for to decide if I need to repeat dosage?

  12. Bro, the frags are not doing too good, but I suspect its my water quality. Let me try to resolve it first. They are too used to premium quality conditions lah, that's why come to mine they suffer.
  13. WARNING! Extremely poisonous thread! Stare at your own risk! Arghhhh... the pull of the dark side is getting stronger...
  14. Thanks guys! Appreciate all the input. Water change is probably the most effective and basic general rule of the thumb, and I've already prepared water for that. I'll monitor and see how it goes from there.I guess I've been over feeding recently...
  15. Beautiful fishes, and even better photos, bro! Love the yellow coco worm too. Is it hard or soft tube? I've seen yellow feather dusters, but not coco worms.
  16. Usually, wave makers are kept on 24/7. Waves in the ocean don't stop at night, right? Of course, you can still set them on timers to save some electricity. I prefer to look at it in a different perspective: in the event my main pump fails at night, I still have my wave makers to create movement in the water and generating gas exchange (oxygen), so that I don't wake up to a bunch of dead fishes.
  17. WTS: want to sell WTB: want to buy WTG: want to give (or get) WTT: want to trade FOC: free of charge WC: water change
  18. LOL... Jackass is one of my favorite shows!
  19. It'll be a hide & seek paradise for ya fishes!
  20. That's a shame... hope your tank will bounce back and be even better!
  21. Bro, 6 weeks was a long time. Wasn't there anyone to help take care of the tank?
