You need to know a lot more about reef keeping before you make your next purchase. Pls read Nitrogen cycle These are just the basics of reef keeping. There are a ton more information that you need to know to even begin keeping anything live, so read up more.

You could use epoxy to cover up the exposed PVC portion and stick sand to it. That way, it looks more natural.

Instead of an air pump, you can get an Aqualifter, but you'll be better off using a hang-on filter. Do a search on AC70 modification.
