  1. Btw, some updates on the Lugol's dip: my pink zoas have stopped receding and have opened up fully for the whole week. You might wanna give it a try.
  2. Bro, all the best for your posting and sales! Have enjoyed reading and viewing the photos in your tank thread.
  3. Woah... your tank is really starting to colour up! Do hold your reins a bit... take it nice, slow and steady.
  4. Sigh... what's left of my eagle eyes... it would have been awesome in a bunch under these lights... The rhodactics are amazing... the photo hardly does it justice.
  5. This frag will be my favorite in a long time to come.
  6. Got another bunch of pink zoas from GO. They are offering at a good price now, so do hurry if you want them! The taller ones look brownish under full lights, but greenish under actinics.
  7. I can enjoy a different view in actinics.
  8. My corals visibly love the stronger lighting. You can see that the "bubbles" are bigger compared to the photos with the old lightset.
  9. B) The best thing about this lightset is it comes in 3 separate plugs for easy lighting period control.
  10. I've been wanting to upgrade my lights to T5 HOs for some time, and I finally did it! Illummax Pro Series 2 Ft T5 HO 24W x 4 tubes (2 white 2 actinic), with LED moonlight!
  11. Its a blessing to be able to propagate corals. Will definitely let you guys know when it reaches that stage. Thanks for your comments and support!
  12. Zoas sold and collected by a friendly reefer. Thanks! Thread closed.
  13. Take it nice and slow, bro! You've spent this much on the setup, so do try to keep live stock that are suitable for it. Keep the pics coming!
  14. I'm experiencing the same thing... I tried the dip with DI water and Lugol's solution for 2 zoas, and they are recovering slowly. Maybe you'd like to give it a try? My mistake (more like laziness) is that I did not set the pH for the dip right. I bought some pH buffer now, and will continue to dip the affected zoas. Will post its progress.
  15. Anyone? Maybe an expected price range would also be good. Thinking of setting up a similar sized tank that I have (1.5 x 1.5 x 1) with external overflow and sump (1.5 x 1 x 1). Thanks in advance!
  16. Haha... afraid not, Sir! One of my fav's in the tank.
  17. Yes, got an ID on them. They are called amphipods.
  18. Yup! Those are definitely the "precious" category. I wish I could grow and multiply frags like Sis Ming... makes me tempted to upgrade to MH. I notice we don't get powerful lightings locally, like Sunpod, that's ideal for nanos. Can only drool at those SPS nanos from Reefcentral... I'm upgrading my lights to T5 HOs instead. Will be collecting it tmr. Hopefully, it helps in accelerating growth so we can exchange frags!
