  1. Well... Murphy's Law kinda struck during the last week of my reservist. The clingfish decided to take a swim in the filter compartment... +1 ikan billis... My colleagues saved him a few times, but still ended up there. My anemone shrimp also went over, but I made a mistake by scooping it and putting it back to the display side without protecting it. The moment it start to sink, my clownfish thought it was food and attacked it. Somehow, I can't keep Yasha gobies... this fella went MIA for awhile, but when it decided to appear, I had to witness its massacre... the cleaner shrimps attacked it and ripped his belly open. I believe he wasn't doing well already, so they took advantage of the situation. Hardly any bones left the next morning... Scrubber didn't work out. My hang-on filter made a lot of noise, and being in the office, it was not acceptable and had to be switched off. It was left dry for a week, and started to smell. I had to throw it away. I managed to get my hands on some cloth meant for cross stitching, so I'll give it a try if I ever upgrade... My tank was infested with green hair algae... what makes it worse is my zoas got hit by nudis... my weekends were spent battling with them, dipping every single frag with Lugol's solution. I did this at least 3 times in 3 weeks, so hopefully it has solved the nudis problem. The downside is my zoas seemed stressed out, and most were partially opened. Summary of my misery...
  2. In a way, you are right! These type of zoas grow and take over sea fans and sponges.
  3. Hahah... needs growing. Will let you know.
  4. That's great! I'm fortunate to pick up this piece. Its actually a very healthy specimen. I know because my frags have gone through "thick & thin", and have continued to survive.
  5. Bro, you have been very patient and have given valuable advice to newbies, but is it necessary to quote this incident every time? We can give all sorts of advice through our knowledge or even our own experiences, but ultimately, it still depends on the individual if he / she wants to listen or not. Relax... and let it go. Reefing and surfing this webby are supposed to be enjoyable.
  6. I've only started for 2 days, so no significant difference, but I've noticed the "bubbles" on my rics seem bigger.
  7. Your starfish and suns really stand out in the FTS. Plenty of room for more gems! Take your time to stock up.
  8. How long have you been dosing Vit C? Do you have before and after photos to show the effects?
  9. So I'm assuming brine shrimp (sea monkeys) feed on them as well?
  10. This, should also be in the exotic corals thread. Others might think its available at ah beng's...
  11. Crazy colours, isn't it...?
  12. Well... I'm not sure if your post is referring to the photo I posted, but here's the link to the sale of this coral.
  13. You are indeed our local breeding guru... Anyone knows the price range?
  14. Wow... those babies are looking good...
  15. Nice photos! Man... there's still quite a gap between DSLR and prosumer... or its probably my skill...
  16. Why don't you PM him instead? He's the best person to provide directions and public transport advice.
  17. Bro, that's a sweet rock scaping! Can't wait to see your tank being filled with corals!
  18. Bro, check with bro fuel if he has stock on the peppermint shrimp.
  19. Congrats! It'll be fun to watch them grow. I would like to adopt a pair if you do give / sell them.
