  1. To be honest, I handle my zoas with bare hands, but I would strongly recommend using gloves. You won't get stung by them, but if they release palytoxin, that can be fatal if absorbed. The article you quoted pretty much sums it all.
  2. Yes, I believe that could be it. I've posted some pics on bro lemon's thread.
  3. I have not seen any... are you thinking I might have the same problem with bro jameshong when his tank crashed?
  4. You might want to check with bro evilistic. He has most of the stuff you mentioned, except that the tank is a 1 ft cube IOS.
  5. I experienced the same thing with mine too... mind pming me where you got yours?
  6. Is your seio too strong...? As for corals, it takes time to find that perfect spot. I know, coz I've been moving mine around so much they get pissed and start to bleach on me! Most of them are doing very well though...
  7. Haha... no stunts, or not that I know of... During the thorough clean up, I found the dead body of the neon goby stuck underneath a rock. I was surprised that it was unreachable for so many shrimps, but that seems to be the main suspect for bad water quality. The clowns got brook and the rest is history. Normally, shrimps would be the first to react, but all of my shrimps are still healthy. Some even just molted!
  8. ...with curry and "prata", right? Beautiful gems as usual...
  9. You, Sir, have really deep pockets and super fast hands...
  10. Haha... kinda jammed packed right now, so nothing new. More of sad news though... quite a few of my fishes died. I'm still clueless to the sudden plunge in their health, when my corals are doing better. The peppermint and cleaner shrimps are doing very well too, so I'm doubtful of water quality issues, but I did not perform any test to confirm this. Now, I'm left with only my firefish goby. Casualties are as follows: True percs x2 Hector's goby x1 Neon goby (hybrid) x2 All these are within one month. Percs have been with me for almost a year. I won't be getting any fishes anytime soon until things are more stabilized. Just did an 80% water change and a thorough scrubbing of my tank. Algae was in full bloom... love the super clean tank now. Will be exploring vodka dosing some time... still need to read up more about it.
  11. You prolly have to look under Chromis Xanthura. I took the pic from bro digiman.
  12. Haha... I know for sure if the damsel is stressed, it'll turn dark grey...
  13. That looks awesome! If only someone could find a video of the chromis flashing...
  14. No, I think you're right. Chromis-Flavicauda I found some of the comments quite funny though... "For that price I would eat it. It's a freaking fish people. Unless it craps gold you can keep it."
  15. Doesn't this look just like a regular yellow tail damsel...?
  16. My other clown died... left with firefish & Hector's goby. Both look fine though...
  17. Its the same with my tank... other fishes are doing well too. It started last week when the one that died turned quite pale. I didn't think much about it, just hoping it will recover on its own, but by the time the long weekend was over, it died. Now the remaining clown is very restless and breathing rapidly. I'm really clueless as to what have caused such sudden degradation of their health...
  18. You might wanna check if it's Brooklynella. Coincidentally, I believe my clowns are suffering from it, and one of them died.
  19. And we wonder why the suction cups for some of our equipment don't work as well as that. Those are some powerful arms.
  20. The "extended" legs to support the taller tank looks rather unstable... can't fit the 2 tanks on the stand and the accessories (skimmer) on the extension?
  21. Beautiful reef tank! You know you can always unload some of those zoas to my tank if you think yours is too packed! How are you managing the temperature with your FOWLR setup?
