  1. More like tart right now... Yes, keeping a nano is not easy at all.
  2. That planted tank is gorgeous! You are really making art out of glass boxes...
  3. Wow! Looking really good! And schooling firefish? Btw, no plans to use a dorso pipe for your overflow? How's the noise level like?
  4. Sweet doggy! I wonder which requires more commitment, keeping a dog or a reef tank?
  5. Heh... hold your horses! It takes time for things to really settle down and mature, so the bacteria can handle the load. Have you ever considered setting up a hang-on fuge with cheato? Should be nice to have a natural nutrient export, and since keeping a mandarin is in your wish list, it should come in useful as a pods nest.
  6. Heh... have always been residing in the east my whole life so far.
  7. Erm... try not to keep a tang in a nano? They really require a big space to swim in. Algae problems are temporary, so turbo snails would suffice. Dosing bacteria helps too! I've been using Prodibio digest in conjunction with AlgaeX.
  8. Am interested, but can't confirm yet. If I can join you guys, I'd prolly tag along with Ray, since he's staying closest to me. And yes, I'm an east guy too!
  9. Maybe you might wanna give AlgaeX a try? I was plagued by GHA for a long time, and this really helped. Now its completely gone from my tank. Of course, this is definitely not a substitution for maintaining proper water perimeters!
  10. Wow... looks like your tank is having the ELOS mini look!
  11. Nice to see more and more nano reefers!
  12. If I'm not wrong, its a Griessingei Goby. Nice catch!
  13. Wow bro! Exited about your new tank! "Cooking" your live rocks is a wise choice. The benefits goes a long way.
  14. Haha... I would say my wallet is exhausted and definitely need a break! I gotta learn to be patient for the growing stage though... Agrees with Sis ming, your tank is really neat and beautiful.
  15. So you were the one with the fast hands fast legs! I was interested in the suns too, but saw that it was reserved. Using the balloon stick method? I just got my balloon stick... hehe.
  16. Far from it! Can't even fill a nano fast enough... I'm actually thinking of setting up a frag tank instead. Its the excitement of new things to come that keeps me going in this hobby. I wonder if my love for the hobby would die off if I reach the "stop buying stuff and let things grow" stage.
  17. Ah... so there's a trick to it. Mine is in an auto feeder, so it drops on the water gently. Not sinking fast enough though through this auto feeder.
