  1. Your tank is still as gorgeous as ever. Very nice photos! I like the last peek-a-boo pic of the blennie.
  2. You mean the last pic isn't your current scape? Looks about the same to me. It is indeed nicely placed for good flow between the rocks.
  3. Nice! I like the scape. The problem I have with you guys is you never post progress shots, like from bare rocks, then with corals, how they grow, etc. Can't learn anything from an already established reef...
  4. Due to the width of the tank, even a 2ft height will post a challenge in placing stuff in the middle, but I'm sure you are more than prepared to soak in entirely just to reach for stuff? Lol... Just prepare good snorkelling gear and you are all set!
  5. IME, gobies are either paired up right from the start or they will fight to the death. You can try putting the new one in a betta box first to see how they fare before making the next decision of either releasing it (that means they have paired up successfully), or sell it (lots of aggression and chasing).
  6. Hi lukas, and welcome to SRC. Since you are new to the marine hobby, I would advice that you should start off with as big a tank as your budget or space allows. Small tanks are more difficult to maintain as they are less tolerable to any water perimeter swings, so do consider going for at least a 2ft tank. If it is not possible to go for a bigger tank, then go really slow in stocking with a small one. Cheers, and happy reefing!
  7. You must have fed it with steriods... lol. It is beginning to look like a luohan.
  8. Mind if I asked... why do you need 3 NanoMags?
  9. I kept my reef alive with this, so it works for me.
  10. It is a decent skimmer for its price, so enjoy it.
  11. You might want to consider Bubble Magus skimmers for your budget. Check with DE Lightings for details.
  12. You might as well build a 4 x 2 x 1.5 tank and have a partition right down in the middle...? But I'm not sure if there are any implications as the water density is different between salt water and fresh water.
  13. It's all about striking a balance between import and export of nutrients. If you choose to use tap water, just be prepared to do more to export the nutrients via other means of filtration. For example, there are many people who uses tap water, but use an algae scrubber to export nutrients.
  14. Try this. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/forum/52-lfs-directory-listings/
  15. Oh crap... this is where I found the pic. http://psa-newmember.org/firstyearhappenings/underwaterphotography_images/MarineSymbiosis.pdf
  16. PM Larry (Harlequin Mania). I'm sure he'll work something out for you guys. Give him some time.
  17. I second this, and my water level is about 1" from the top. I would suggest adding an acrylic sheet to prevent fishes from jumping and water spills. You can never be too careful with reefing.
  18. I was just casually browsing and spotted this clownfish. Anyone knows the ID?
