  1. I'm interested in coral growth lessons too! When is the class starting?
  2. Your new scape looks awesome, and the colour has improved so much. Very nice! I think I need some rock scaping art classes...
  3. I had bad experience with pink yumas too. They are known to be more difficult as compared to other yumas.
  4. Still very new, so couldn't find any reviews.
  5. Found some specs online: Inside water width 6 3/4" Outside tank width 2 1/2" (skimmer body) overall 5 1/4" (with spacing between) Overall Height with cup 22" - allow 1/2" -1" for cup removal Overall Width 12" Price: $325.00 (should be USD) I was expecting it to be more expensive, but I guess its not too far off...
  6. Tempted? Yes. Price range? Waaayyyy out of budget. Can only admire from far for now...
  7. My my... aren't we spoiled for choice? SRO XP 1000S
  8. Should be ok if you have SPS to break the shape.
  9. Since you've already decided to go for CF rocks, why don't you plan for some fancy scaping? I personally find it quite tough to scape in cube tanks, so maybe you'd have better ideas I could copy from... hehe.
  10. Very nice! Too bad I'm more into nanos, or I would definitely venture into wrasses.
  11. My thoughts exactly! Contemplating on setting up a series of linked nano tanks.
  12. Its an inspiration. I'd love to do something like that someday...
  13. Absolutely! Here are some pics to encourage you. Photos taken from Nano-Reef (Pisces 10g Bonsai reef). Check out the growth of the GSP...
  14. Maybe you should go for the upgrade. More room for frags...
  15. Oh... I had no idea that artificial rocks are for aesthetic purposes only... that's a shame. It would explain why the sudden removal of live rock has disrupted the bio stability of the tank.
  16. Yea... kinda stick them too close together, bro!
  17. Ahem... use this opportunity to cover the overflow box? Update nano tank thread!!
  18. Did you cycle the new rocks before replacing the old ones? In-spite-of dosing bacteria, the rocks would still require time to go through the cycle before they are ready for use. Perhaps you might wanna consider restarting your tank? Meanwhile, you can ask friends to host your stock and corals for you (except those infected by ich), or seek LFS help to hold them till your tank is stable again.
  19. Bro, take a break from buying them. When you're feeling better, go for the easier ones to build confidence. After that, the rest just fall in place. Take it nice and slow.
  20. IMO, we should keep the group at a manageable size for the time being. This is just a start, where everyone gets excited and all, but we do not know how it'll work out as time passes. Let things settle down for awhile before we decide to grow the group. Meanwhile, we should set some limits or rules to safeguard the group's interest (ie. people who request for bulk orders but no show at the end, etc). Its a blessing that we have some really nice reefers in our group that are willing to go the extra mile, and I would hate to see them getting taken advantage of. I'm not saying that it has happened or will happen, but its good that in the event it does happen, we know how to deal with it. What do you guys think? Jacky, really appreciate all the effort in organizing and making things happen.
  21. Amazing tank! Hope your break isn't too long...
  22. On the contrary, I like rics staying small... the colours are more intense. However, allowing them to grow really huge seems like a challenge worth exploring.
  23. Thanks bro! Yours is awesome too! I got them from Kitzo and GO.
