  1. Type of wavemaker and model you are using, exact dimensions of your tank and placement would also help to give you further advice on your choice.
  2. Tanks are finally up and running. Now to pass the patience test. (~,~)

Well... kind of. Some transfers here and there. :o)

  3. It really depends on the workmanship of the tank. Even with 10mm thickness and thick silicon, the glass can bulge if it is poorly constructed. On the other hand, there are plenty of reefers in other countries who use 6mm thick ADA tanks have no issues as the tank maker is well reputed.
  4. Bro, Iskay meant that he gets the error msg when he clicked on your link.
  5. Daily water changes for such a small volume of water should be better than skimming. Maybe that's the reason why there are hardly any DOC to remove due to the daily WC.
  6. My clowns are attempting to host the tux urchin... lol

May be that's how they train themselve to host in anemone later... :)

  7. Looks like strawberry icecream...
  8. Lol... sounds like you have a unique situation. All da best!
  9. I would have taken more photos if I had my camera with me. These photos doesn't do the real thing justice.
  10. Display tank. I really like the big mushroom rock and the orange yuma rock.
  11. Most of the tanks are lighted by LEDs. Most of the corals are on frag plugs, unlike the ones we get here. Things might move in this direction though. I thought they were well stocked, but according to Jojo, this is considered little. They are preparing for Christmas break, so will be closed for 3 weeks till the end of the year.
  12. I was in San Diego, CA for about a week, and managed to find some time visiting a LFS. I went to Nano-Reef to ask for recommendations, and AquaSD was mentioned almost immediately by several local reefers. Here are some pics of the shop. Photos taken by my mobile, so not the best representation. Definitely much better in person.
  13. Bro, should be easy to DIY. Get a plastic bottle, cut the top, invert it and stick it back to the bottom. Should do the trick.
  14. My tank was without lights for an entire week... good thing is, it is very clean (no algae). Bad thing, corals suffered. Oh well...

Prolonged low light scenarios do happen in nature during monsoon season so hopefully your corals recover.

Thanks guys! Most of the corals are doing fine. I do have some sunlight coming in the room during the day, so that helps.

  15. Lol... I don't think that is possible for you, bro! And to many of us as well...
  16. Hey bro! Just touched down last night. Will post pics once I settle down. Very nice meeting you and Will too! Didn't get the lady's name though... (Will's girlfriend?). Do hang around here more often, yea?
  17. That will be the quote of the week. It applies to guys & girls alike.
  18. Ahem... so what has Mr Tomato Sauce got to say to that?
  19. Just make sure that algae doesn't grow over the white skeleton so that it will increase the chances of recovery. That applies to the majority of LPS.
  20. Warning Female reefer shopaholics on the loose...
