    Lol... just be careful with magnet cleaners. Don't leave it inside the tank, but put it in whenever you want to use it. Things can get stuck in-between (ie. sand), and when you drag, oops...

    Personally, I don't see any difference, but on a different perspective, you tend to be more careful while cleaning the glass when it is more expensive, thus less scratches.

    You might need to fine tune it by adjusting the PVC pipe so that the bubbles reach just before the neck of the skimmer cup. The water level should reach about half of the skimmer's body. Mine works fine. However, I only wash the skimmer cup, not the body.

    Flame angel not feeding... I've tried pallets, mysis and cyclopeeze. Thought of live brine shrimp. Anyone has any other ideas?

      To certain extend, yes. The best method is to soak using those nutrient product. Most of these product smell terrible to us but somehow fishes love them.

    If you can keep SPS healthy, zoas shouldn't be too hard... dip them in Coral RX before you put them in the tank.

    Why don't you get test kits instead...? Using corals to "test water" isn't the right way to reef, IMO.

      Ya, Venustus but colini during season, will trickle a few in but normally 1-2 in one shipment...

      venustus iwarna, ahbeng, CF, sealife, almost everywhere.

      colini CF, iwarna and very rarely ahbeng. but they appear at reborn and lck before also.

      v sporadic.

    I agree on advertising the forum. I was once a clueless chap wondering how one of the LFS sustain their business with near empty tanks almost week after week whenever I visited, until I asked, and was introduced to the term, "shipment days". "How would I know when the shipments come in?" I asked. "Oh, just visit the forums!" came the reply. So here I am. In reality, most of us learn through experience, be it from others or from our own. This is a good place to share this experience with others and learn as well.

    Watching the Lyretail Anthias being serviced by the fire shrimp is interesting, but watching the hermit whacking the snail with the peppermint shrimp cashing in on the spoils of war was bizzarely fun. Another one bites the dust...
