It is best to return the fishy for either a refund or to exchange with something else (not live) that you could use in future till your tank has completed its cycle. There are plenty of information in the New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby section. Do as much research as you can as you wait. Desideria has a nice IQ5 in the nano section that you can take reference to.

Yup, the sockets are pretty tight. Hold both lamps well. I can't say for the lamp holder though... made the holes a little too big, hence the use of cable ties to secure.

I've DIYed a simple (ghetto looking) LED lamp holder with a piece of acrylic to support the 2 LED moonlights. I like the looks of the heatsink when it is lighted. Looks like some Star Craft gadget.

What is the amount of space you can play with? How many sides will be viewable? If you are at least going for a 2 x 2ft area, I'd definitely go with a sump. It opens up a lot more possibilities for filtration. Sounds to me that you do not like equipment cluttering around. Having a sump will help you conceal most stuff.

From the pics, the colours do not seem to fuse together. You can distinctly see the blue and white. Are they placed quite far apart?
