  3. Sigh... I'm not too optimistic though... I took out all the rocks the other day and didn't find it. The only place I have not search is the burrow. Then again, why would the Yashias and pistol shrimp allow it to share the same place...? I won't conclude anything, just that chances are not high.
  4. Sun corals need to be fed as they are non-photosynthetic. It may be quite a challenge to keep the bio-load low unless you are prepared to perform daily water changes.
  5. Haha... glad you like them. Looking forward to your updates!
  6. You could always call first to check availability...
  7. You can try Petmart. However, if you plan to keep a reef with it, do take time to do some research online. Most people who set up a reef tank with the Fluval Edge add extra lighting as the stock lighting is insufficient to illuminate the whole tank.
  8. Do take note that the Dymax fan can be rather loud, so placing the tank in the bedroom might disturb your sleep.
  9. ADA tank~ That's gonna be a lot of flow with a Tunze nano wave box in a 60P. You could keep SPS!
  10. Hi there weisong. Welcome to SRC. You seem fairly new to the reef keeping hobby. Perhaps you might wanna read through some of the pinned articles posted here. After you have a thorough understanding of the basic requirements of reef keeping, you can turn your focus on your initial plan, to keep a pico tank. Keeping a small tank has its pros and cons, and by understanding its limitations, it will help you decide the size of the tank you can keep. A budget of $500 is plenty for a basic setup. If you can take a photo of your computer desk and share it with us here, it would better help us in giving proper advice as to whether your desk could take the weight of the tank or not. In general, computer desks are not that sturdy, and do note that salt water has a higher density, which adds to the weight of the tank. Computer fans are not that powerful, so if they are insufficient to cool your tank, you can consider getting an Ice-Probe. Do take note of the rate of evaporation if you use a fan. Feel free to post questions if you need more help, but mostly, answers can be easily found online. Cheers, and happy reefing!

Even if all of them are connected? That's interesting. Other factors like light, wavemaker placement, rock structure and livestock each play their roles in the reef.

Nope, the different behavior on coralline observe on separate system. I am more incline to think that light seems to play a major role :)

Oh, I thought it was the reef in general. Yup, definitely light is the biggest factor.

  12. It might be a construction issue. The cabinet could have been constructed without compensating the weight of the tank (with water and rocks).
  13. Bro, you might wanna consider applying some Vaseline (paste type) to the hinges to prevent or slow down rusting.
  14. I like tank delivery shots. Very exciting.
  15. A bunch of crazy watapp reefers... sounds very familiar...
  16. I liked how the sketch is made on grid paper, but not drawn to scale. Lol... Bro, and I thought I was lucky! If my stuff is strewn all over the living room, that'll mark the end of my reefing hobby! Keep the pics coming!
  17. Looks as if some yellow paint splashed onto an orchid dottyback.
  18. Swee swee lah! Did you grow those zoas from frags? That'll be amazing growth!
  19. The beauty of crystal glass: as clearly as you can see your fishes, they can see you!

I could try taking one, but it'll be a challenge without a tripod.
