  1. Top notch equipment! Seems like T5 / LED combo is getting more and more common. Go hybrid!
  2. My tank twin! Lol... If you custom build a square frame to house your chiller, you can put a shallow frag tank on top.
  3. Your tank is wayyyyy too small for it. Have a heart, sell it away to someone who has at least a 4ft tank.
  4. Why don't you post this in RC or Nanoreef? You would get more answers in the US forums.
  5. Ice probe barely able to support a 1ft cube, so chiller would be the ideal choice.
  6. Ah Beng brings these in quite regularly. Do check with them before heading down.
  7. Nice idea on the display fuge. I'm trying to figure out how the sump works. The flow is in a horizontal S shape?
  8. For smaller systems, it is more effective for nutrient export to perform regular water changes as compared to skimming, since the number of nano effective nano skimmers are limited at present. However, for bigger systems, water changes can be tedious, if not, expensive, to rival what a large and powerful skimmer could do. Both has its pros that the other does not: Water changes - replenishes trace elements and perimeters Skimming - provides more oxygen I would say, if it is possible, to incorporate both methods of nutrient export.
  9. What you need is a camera with wide angle lens.
  10. This is a little late, but I believe the warranty card states the date of manufacturing, at least for BM skimmers. Warranty should be based on the date of purchase, which should be printed / written in the receipt.
  11. No problems between the Helfrich and firefish?
  12. Remove the GSP from your tank and manually pluck those algae with a pair of tweezers. Use a soft brush (the type for painting) and gently brush away the brown diatom. They will come back again, since your tank is still very new. It should acclimatize to your tank conditions after some time. GSP can remain closed for weeks and open up later, so don't be too worried. However, keep up with weekly water changes.
  13. I think you should be more concerned about the temperature fluctuation more than the low temp. It is fine even if you can maintain it at 22 - 23oC throughout the day.
  14. Anyone knows where I can get Hydrogen Peroxide locally?

Hmmm how come? They finish all the algae and die?

Lol... I wished, but before they can complete the job, they vaporized. Not a trace. Maybe my tank is too toxic for them...

i see, hmmm hopefully mine will survive, according to the net, they will disappear when there is no more algae.

  15. If you find it over powered, you can sell it to me.
  16. Bro, I'm not sure about the rest of the equipment, but IME, the skimmer works best with a dedicated feeder pump. I tried T-ing off from my return pump, and the skimmer's efficiency wasn't at its optimum.
  17. I got mine from Petmart. You might wanna consider getting an auto top off system to work hand-in-hand with the fan. I would suggest Tunze Osmolator as it has a tighter tolerance on the rate of evaporation.
