  1. Flame goby. This guy keeps staring at his own reflection... flaring and challenging his own image all day long.
  2. Now for the inhabitants: Check out the shy guy...
  3. More rics. I may need to shift this group. Too close to the hammers... Notice 2 mouths on the second pic? Hope it splits soon!
  4. My coco worms. Love them. They look like twin cannons firing in my tank!
  5. Hammer. Was my 1st coral when I set up this tank. Been 6 months already, and doing quite fine.
  6. I ever posted a question on the differences of Yumas and rics, but never got any reply. Can someone ID this for me? Looks like a yuma to me...
  7. This guy got detached and fell behind the rock. Need to place him somewhere better.
  8. Btw, that's one of the hermits taking a break there.
  9. Some close up shots: I'm not sure what type of zoa is this. Can anyone ID for me?
  10. My skimmer is placed at the back compartment with the return pump. Kinda "squeezy" there. Thought of getting a hang-on skimmer. The lifestock is listed above. I change the filter wool whenever it turns brown. Hardly touched the bio media, since I dun wanna disturb the "beneficial bacteria" inside. Temp is around 24 - 25 deg C, 24/7 (my office is a segment off the production floor).
  11. LS: Flame Goby x1 2 Spot Goby x1 Cleaner shrimp x1 Electric blue legged hermit crab x2 Coco worms x2 Tube worm x1 Zoanthid (I'm not sure of the ID) x1 Red mushies x2 Hammer coral x1 Rics x10 Green Yuma (I think) x1
  12. I can't find any semi decent skimmers that could fit into the back compartment, so I had to make do with a cheap china brand wood diffuser skimmer. If anyone has any good recommendations, pls let me know. The little hang-on filter keeps the surface of the water clean. I'm only using 11W PL lights (1 white 1 blue), so clean water surface is important.
  13. Back view with the filter compartment. Filled with bio-home, ceramic rings for bio filter, and filter wool for mechanical filter.
  14. Hi all! I've started this hobby just before the "Finding Nemo" craze. I fell in love with the clown fish and its swimming pattern, and that led me to purchase my very first fish tank. I've never ventured into fresh water fishes, and taking the plunge into marine without any prior knowledge was my biggest mistake. After a painful experience of getting cheated into buying a small tank at a very high price, and my first pair of clowns dying, I've decided to really study up before the next attempt. It was then that I saw in an LFS, a custom made fish tank with internal overflow system. It was pretty neat to look at, and it has a bigger compartment to put in more bio-filter media. I asked the shop owner to make one for me.
  15. Oh no... I bought the same fish thinking that he could clean up my sand bed... He seems fine so far, making "waves" in my sand bed, and covering my rics with sand everytime he digs trenches. Btw, awesome thread Jevis! Always looking forward to your interesting posts.
  16. I bought this from Pasir Ris farmway 2. I'm assuming its what they call "Ah Beng's" stall? The place has a 'D' sign on it. Will probably drop by and ask them again.
  17. Anyone...? The instruction manual doesn't state anything useful at all, and I couldn't find anything online that helps.
