  1. "This is for eating my friend and stealing his house! Take that!"
  2. Some fun pictures... revenge of the snails!
  3. Your mushies are beautiful, Bro lum! Nice shot!
  4. Hi there! Wah... kudos to you for using good equipment. Bros eyeing your stuff even before you start the ANN cycle! Heh... Any plans in the pipe line to hide the wiring behind your tank?

  6. Hi Sis Ming! Its been a great privilege and pleasure to meet you, and view your tank in person. Simple fantastico! And I tot I was quite happy at the growth of my rics, but when I saw the size and colours of yours, I'm trully humbled. Many thanks once again for your frags and hope to hear from you soon!
  7. Wonder which is more expensive: the tank or the chiller... You might wanna make a list of the LS and corals you plan to keep so that the rest of the folks can give you better advice? In the meantime, do read up a lot on their care and requirements so that you either set up the system to meet the standards needed, or not even consider buying them at all.
  8. Just a thought... I'm not sure if anyone has used a temperature controller for fans... not that they can drop the temperature that much, but if set to switch on when the temp is warm and off when the temp is cool, it may help reduce cost and keep the fishes happy? Anyways, a commercial auto top-off system is not that much more expensive compared to a DIY (unless you really have lobang). Of course, if DIY is your thing, go for it. Satisfaction of a job well done is priceless.
  9. This is actually red zoas, but they refuse to open up even after a few days... I did a FWD yesterday for 5 mins, saw 1 or 2 worm-like creatures floating away, but I'm still seeing closed polyps today. Will continue to monitor its progress. If anyone could spot anything wrong with it from this pic, pls kindly highlight to me? Thanks in advance!
  10. Blue mushies... when I had the red ones, I told myself I need to get the blues. They are slightly more purplish when seen in person.
  11. Zoas: Black face with orange skirting. My apologies for the slightly blur photo.
  12. "I'm feeling sleepy...ah! Pillows! Zzzzz...."
  13. Thought I saw in another pic that you wanted to freeze the slabs in zip lock bags? You could zip lock the whole cube tray... double layer for extra protection, against smell and more importantly, against CFO's wrath.
  14. Looking good! I like your yellow tang... its like sunshine. And looks like your skimmer is brewing cappuccino. Good stuff.
  15. Hey, its cool... how's your setup going on as well? Waiting for you post start your tank thread.
  16. You can "mess" up my tank with your corals any day mdm!
  17. Thanks! I don't really dose anything except for 5-in-1 coral food. But time to advertise a little for one of our sponsors on this webby... I occasionally mix a little of "Top Up" from Iwarna whenever I do a water change. Distilled water, a small portion of Top Up, and the salt. Works for me.
  18. Lun ah! Btw, GO is having an LPS shipment end of this month before the SPS one. Can chiong after pay day...
  19. Very kind of you! I'm in a similar situation, but with a completely different reason... overspent on corals...
  20. I can imagine the smell from your kitchen... I'm not sure if they sell those flexi ice-cube trays so you can spread the gunk into different cubes. Easier for feeding.
  21. Use electric fans? But for the tank your size, you'll need a big or a strong one. Do note that you'll have to cope with rapid evaporation rates. Best to invest in a chiller. Alternatively, you can freeze bottles of water and dump them in the sump to cool the tank. I've never tried it, and I do not know how effective it is or how long the temperature will stay cool. Maybe someone who has experience with this method can provide better advice.
  22. No problems with mine. I have 2 of each in my tank, and they co-habit peacefully.
  23. Relax... chill! Give the guy a break. Looking forward, the shark is getting a new home, no? The best you can do right now is to provide accurate and reliable information on its care for its next owner, which you probably have already done so. So you don't have to hard press him for any answers, of which he is also not obliged to reply. Upz for the sale!
