  1. Erm... I think there's no secret to it. Chance, perhaps? I've always been a semi-lazy reefer, so not very consistent in water changes, checking perimeters and maintaining them. If you're talking about the above mentioned yumas, ever since I've shifted them to the corner (less light but same flow), they seem to be doing better. I think it was wilson's tank that experienced yumas opening up bigger than usual after installing the scrubber? I think that plays a part too for my tank. I do dose Marine Snow and trace elements on a weekly basis.
  2. I just bought an anemone crab, a (sexy) shrimp, and a Yasha goby. Was trying to take a peek-a-boo shot of the Yasha, but he got in the way instead... Will have to wait to get better pics.
  3. Yumas multiplying... notice the 2 babies in the middle.
  4. Some progress update on the nano scrubber... I've noticed that the diatoms have cleared from my rocks, and the corals look visibly more vibrant. Day 9...
  5. Yes, looking forward to you coming back... stronger and better than ever before.
  6. Hmmm... I didn't notice anyone wearing Man U jerseys... but I was wearing a black Nike T-shirt and grey shorts.
  7. Hmmm... I was there just now... perhaps we've met, but never introduced ourselves.
  8. Red ones. Under actinic, so couldn't see very clearly. I think about 3 left. Small ones, about 1/3 fist size.
  9. Just came back from Iwarna and Ah Beng's. There are still some pratas left. Some clams and hammers. Ah beng's have some rhizos (didn't ask for the price), a couple of yasha gobies, bubble corals...
  10. Bro... very nice to meet you in person. Thanks for your advice! I dropped by at ah beng's after you left. They had some yasha gobies and the shrimp you pointed out just now. I got one each.
  11. Thought you went to GO? Shipment's supposed to be in now.
  12. I remember I've read somewhere that someone here had melted yumas, but left the rock in the tank. It grew back a couple of months later, so don't discard the rock if you have the space.
  13. Haha... what I meant is them detaching and floating to other areas before settling down. I can't keep them on the same rock for long. If yours stay, I consider it a good thing.
  14. Nice blue mushies! Mine kept propagating all around my tank. Yours look very "disciplined".
  15. Wow... solid equipments, bro! How's your new tank coming along?
  16. Bro... I think budget seems to be your first priority, that's why the choice of your equipment tend to hover more towards the lower end products? Most of the time, quality comes with a higher price. It really depends on what you want to achieve to strike a balance between maintaining the bare minimum and being affordable. That aside, your DIY skills have compensated for it. Great job!
  17. Let's keep this forum nice and clean, shall we? Thanks. Bro... more than 1K posts in less than 2 months since you joined... take a break lah...
  18. Mucho's reef got me started in reef keeping. I still have the link to his TOTM feature.
  19. How bout reading this article on water perimeters? Iodine is being mentioned here.
  20. Bro, the pink center with red skirting is just nuts... I'd like to queue for a frag of those as well! The bright orange ones in my tank are just opening up... yours look very healthy. Great job!
