  1. Your dad's "mighty 2 mountains" have worked out very well! Bro, your sand bed very empty leh...
  2. Was there any form of cushion (ie. Styrofoam) at the base of the tank to compensate for levelness? My dad used to keep a 2nd hand 4 Ft freshwater tank without the styrofoam, and the tank cracked & crashed within weeks due to uneven pressure. Gave my grandma quite a shock!
  3. Bro, you might want to consider using a hydor flo deflector to have a better random surface agitation. The lightset looks good! How's it working for your tank size? Looks like 2 ft in length... is it sticking out of your tank dimensions? And I think you owe us all a video of your MP10's performance!
  4. The gorillapod seems interesting... where can I get it locally? How firm is it? I wouldn't want it collapsing or bending at the wrong time...
  5. Thanks! Still need loads of practice... any simple, not so high-end tri-pods to recommend? My frags are just super slow in growth, so I really don't know when they will reach colony sizes. Its gonna take some time...
  6. I was gluing some loose zoa frags while they were closed, and it turned out that I have put together the purple hornets and pseudo purple hornets together on the same frag plug! The smaller polyps on the left are from LCK, and the bigger ones on the right are the cheapo version. It actually looks quite nice together! (Pure cheapo version on the 2nd pic).
  7. Haha... took me awhile to get these photos, and they are nowhere near the qualities a DSLR can produce. I'm sooooooooo.... tempted, but my budget is holding me back. Can't have two expensive hobbies together...
  8. Long forgotten corals... these mushies have been with me for more than a year, probably the very first few residents of my second tank. They don't grow, but neither do they die off, very hardy.
  9. The survivor! This tough cookie seems very interested in his own reflection...
  10. If I'm not mistaken, there is some discussion on voting for his tank in Nano-reef.com for TOTM as well. Great job!
  11. Wow... very nice schooling anthias!
  12. Oh my... this is sudden... just got to know you and you're out of the hobby? Better come back soon!
  13. Woah... that's quite a number... I've tried about 4 myself without success, not feeding on most occasions due to aggressive clownfishes (they are quite the food snatchers). Not going to give up though... keep a lookout for me, will ya? TIA!
  14. Awesome fellas, ain't it? Bro, how are your Yashias doing? Was it you or someone else that provided tips in differentiating the gender of these gobies?
  15. I just did a rescape over the weekend. Felt that there were too many rocks, and in the end, I took out 2 huge ones. During the process, I was removing all the corals and fishes, but found my yellow wrasse missing. It was there a moment ago, and it just disappeared in the blink of an eye. I searched around the tank, afraid that it had jumped out due to stress, but found no body. I combed the sand bed surface lightly, but still no sign of it. Crap, casualty, I thought... I continued with my re-scape, which took hours. This morning, when I was back to work, I saw it happily swimming in the tank! It was bolder than before, swimming out in the open and exploring the "new" environment. It must have borrowed deep into the sand and waited for everything to settle down. I was quite afraid that the rocks will crush it... Amazing surviving ability!
