  1. If your hands itch and skin flaking persists, you might be suffering from fungal infection. Get an anti-fungal cream from Guardian or other pharmacies.
  2. This is just my personal experience, but when I kept Yellow Wrasse in a bare bottom tank, they don't do well and die for no apparent reason like you mentioned. However, they survive pretty well when I kept a sandbed. Perhaps they can get stressed when they do not have a substrate to burrow into...?
  3. Why aren't the peppermints swimming? Were the betta boxes deliberately raised for video taking?
  4. I think there are 7 of them. The right most compartment had 2 containers occupied and one swimming outside.
  5. Most of your questions can be answered if you browse through the tanks threads more often... I think there are countless success stories for those using T5s for SPSs. Unfortunately, they do not come with stands, so most people would either hang it, make a light stand or a hood, or just simply place it on top of the tank if you have top bracing.
  6. What is the volume of your dosing chambers? Seem rather small for an SPS heavy setup.
  7. Personally, I feel DE Lightings retrofit is sufficient. You might wanna consider the following combination: ATI Blue Plus ATI Coral Plus ATI Blue Plus (or ATI Coral Plus, depending on how much blue you like) ATI Blue Plus Front Glass
  8. Wow wow wow! I just got dazzled by all the colours!
  9. When I see Vietnam, I think of Elly Tran Ha. Heh heh... Welcome to SRC! Pls start a tank thread so we can admire your tank setup.
  10. The red one on the left is really enormous...
  11. MP40 might be a little too powerful for a shallow tank. Have you tried MP10 at full blast instead? Having 2x MP10s, one on each end, might be a better option.
  12. What type of polyps do they feed on? Zoas & Palys? They might be the answer to dealing with palytoxin.
  13. I would recommend Springeri Damsel. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+28+2073&pcatid=2073 It isn't that rare, but do not be confused with the normal damsels that you see regularly in the LFSs. This one has a much better temperament.
  14. Sigh... I've done tank transfers numerous times, but this round is the worst. Tried to remove the piping, end up cracking the bottom of my display tank. Was washing the sump tank in the toilet, it slipped and knocked on the floor, causing a crack. Option 1: Get a new tank set. Option 2: Use another tank that has been lying around at home. Option 3: Decomm entirely. Option 3 seems very attractive at this moment...

Hi Bro. Either Opt 1 or 2. Cheers!

      I voted Option 1.

  15. Pls correct me if I'm wrong, but you have to be very careful when you talk about LEDs consuming less power. It still depends on the wattage of the lightset you are using. For example, if you use a 2ft 4 tubes T5 HO, which consumes 24W per tube, your total power consumption would be 96W. If you swap to a Maxspect G2 110W, your power consumption would naturally be 110W. Active cooling of the LEDs also add to power consumption. However, this is not inclusive of savings from chiller kicking in less, etc, but just a direct comparison. I'm just stating that it doesn't mean using LEDs immediately equals savings. You have to do your own math.
  16. Wah... looking forward to the review! Can I drop by to take a look first hand?
  17. No one can say for sure that it will work or not. It depends on the build quality and reputation of the tank maker. For example, many have said that glass thickness should be at least 6mm and above for nano tanks, but many have used ADA tanks with success and glass thickness is only 5mm. It is all about calculated risk, and if I were you, I would go for peace of mind by going for something that is proven to work. 4mm is really pushing the limits.
  18. The same goes for anything magnetic. I had an MP10 wet side pop due to rust as well. Water got in through a crack in the plastic.
