  1. Hi, I'm interested. Is it still available? Where to collect? cheers...
  2. Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll pass on this sale as its not worth risking these SH in my reef tank with lots of greedy fishes around. All the best to your sale!
  3. Hi Prata Lover, Are your SH kept in SH only tank? Or they are kept in tank with other LS such as fishes etc... Interested in your SH but intend to rear them in my reef tank. Do you think they can survive in tank with fishes? Pls advice. Cheers, simon
  4. Bro, Prata still available? Any pics? Cheers
  5. I got an aquamedic 400 nitrate reductor. I find it very difficult to adjust the flow rate. It got to be slow so that anerobic activities take place but cannot be too slow as hydrogen sulphide can then be produce which is undesirable. Now I'm planning to do a hang on refugium to take care of both the NO3 and Po4 issues. But meantime doing constant water change.
  6. Agree... should have done that earlier notice that ian has the hangon type. any comments on that. cos if use that, then no need to redone sump, just pass the water into the hangon refugium before returning water into main tank.
  7. Thanks for sharing. I'm also considering changing my sump. Did not consider including a refugium the last time. Now regret...
  8. Bro, Can share the cost of the sump done by Ian? Cheers, simon
  9. Bro, I'll take the box. Where and when to collect. Cheers...
  10. I have a copperband. And its very effective. All gone within a few weeks. One or two appear from time to time but its yummy to the copperband. Gone within a day.
  11. Hi, I'm interested in both Mandrains. Cheers
  12. Pura lock did not work for me. NO3 is still high after using it.
  13. The claim by the manufacturer is that the bio home itself creates an anerobic environment so shouldn't need a DSB. Or you got more insight? Please share Btw, bro Stormtropper, as far as i know(which is really limited) bio house is for nitrifying bacteria. ie it turns NH3 to NO3, but does it also help to reduce NO3? cheers
  14. bro, is that the only thing you do to control the nitrate? if yes then i will go get some more.
  15. I tried it on my 4 footer. Got 3 packs. Nitrates is high - about 30-40ppm. So if you are thinking of getting it to control the nitrate, you've got the answer. However, I'm not sure if the anerobic bacteria will develop at a later stage. btw, i have these in my sump for about 5mth.
  16. ok if that's a waste of time, any advise to bring down the NO3 lvl. I've got no room to set up a macro algae refugium(hope the spelling is right ). i've tried AZ NO3 and pura lock but not effective for my system. Please share... thanks
  17. yup, got deniballs in it, came as a package upon purchase. i was told by the lfs that the bacteria which be cultured by the time all the denimar is fed in.
