My story was worse. my old tank IOS retaining wall burst and flooded my house, simply because my new tank cabinet turned up 'not ready' and I had to delay migration for weeks. The chaeto must be kept loose. Tight clumps are not good for fast growth.

Really taking my time with this tank due to the earlier delay and current work commitments. Some information on my setup. Carrying on with my experiment with my 3 x 2 x 2.5 feet tank, the new tank will be skimmerless as well. Current equipment list Return pump ehiem 1262 Wave maker Jebao WP40 Chiller Hailea 300a with Dymax Ph1200 Chaeto light warm white led bulb Lights: yet to be decided.... Old tank and cabinet set has been decommed and awaiting trash disposal.... To be continued...

Update: My cabinet was replaced with a newly made one but with slightly different specs. The sump tank couldn't fit and had to be replaced too. Dust has finally settled on the whole tank issue and cycling is in process. Hope to start sharing more soon.
