The age of this lamp should be at least 4 months old already. Cos when I sell it to you already used for 2 months old. Then you had it in late Jan. So you said you use for 2 months everyday 8 hrs and that should make it 4 months old. Another 6-8 months life-span.

A bit of small metal bits is fine and can be cleaned with magnets. What we were referring to is a lot of metal bits. Probably like 10-20% of the total of the sand. Just avoid the yellow bag ones. If petmart sells the yellow bag ones then avoid at all cost

I agree! that's why I also use the digital one to give a rough idea of my tank water temp. When I need more accurate I go and peep close at the glass one in my sump. Now kanna stuck in hotel in Jakarta, maybe weekend go look for clam but I only back on next wed, don't think the clams can tahan 3 days

if you can then put a magnet in the sandbed to remove the particles. But if you having a DSB then better not disturb it. But I supposed the sand you use is not so terrible like the ones in the yellow bag right? At least 10% is iron particles, damn terrible. The white bag ones I expect less than 0.5%.

End up he tries to sell the bulb for $85 and says it's 2 months old and claims he bought it new for $115 ???? Another case is I gave an anemone to someone and when he comes to collect, I gave him some coral food. End up he went to sell the coral food for $4 ?? Really they take pple's kindness for nothing

How to use the sand like that? As I mention, two small scoop, I extract out more particles compared to 16 bags of the white one! Somemore wash already kinda mud color one!
