lol.... you tried to save those wild colony right? By giving this frag for me to "test water" see my tank can support SPS or not. At least after this frag has shown grown and encrusting I know my tank can support SPS so I got some brown wild colony to test.
frag no. 3, the brown colony (top middle) from ###### two weeks back has started to show sign of purple.
The green staghorn has terrible epoxy job, might consider removing it and saw off the epoxy parts.
tank coming to five months.
The green algae also disappearing and taking over by coraline.
I accidentally broke the two tips off the frag on the left but now they are growing steadily and encrusting as well.
Unfortunately this piece of LR has lots of bryopsis growing on it and I took it out and soak in bleach After that super clean LR.
In the process broke the frag into two pc.
at the bottom of the unit is a plastic window that you can see the light blue light when the UV lamp is running. However you'll need to change the UV lamp long before it totally burn out.
The needle valve bought from Singapore Valve and services in Mandai. The part number I bought is stated there. Mine is a little costly as it is full stainless steel. You can get the brass one.
