  1. Usually you'll need a TDS meter to monitor the RO/DI water. Once the reading goes up then it's time to change the media.
  2. The current would meet and collide somewhere in the center. So you carefully place a few pc of LR on the sandbed there to protect the sandbed will do.l
  3. oh that someone somewhere har? lol... recently got so many ugly tangs lol.
  4. Yes very very chio and so fat.. next time I go try to squeeze it's fat cheek
  5. Do you have a photo of your rock scape? Best to take from top view. I suggest having 3 or even 4 6060 one at each corner and all aiming towards the center of the tank. In this way the water movement are mostly downwards. If your sandbed have problem due to this then hang the tunze higher up. I've 3 6100 at 3 corners and red dragon 12,000 l/h (8000 l/h after head lost) at another corner. Flow is good and so far never spotted any blind spots. Maybe inside the rock scaping got blind spot but I guess so far good for my SPS which is spread around the tank.
  6. Wow power man Ahh.. tang signature expand again heheh.
  7. This evening I not at home Nowadays even got live update..
  8. I know of a reefer with one achilles and one powder blue. Got fight until injury but still kicking for many months liao.
  9. So many pple upz upz upz for you cos it is truely green. Upz again for you
  10. Marine Life do bring them in from time to time.
  11. this tang grows really large but Blenny have a big tank so no problem
  12. I know of two reefers who are using the 1/2hp artica commerical chiller and controlling via external temp probe via the IKS. No problem on cooling down their 1000L tank I agree with what you said regarding the internal temp probe. However for a properly designed chiller that should not be an issue. ie thermostat outside the heat exchanger and at the water inlet line. You can cross check the actual temp with a external thermometer in the main tank as well and that will tell the whole story.
  13. 60 litres But daily 50% water change. Very shiong. If you can get a 3ft I feed heavily in the tub too, so the tangs will be fat by the time they go into my tank
  14. I am sure with all these precaution, your fishes will love you very much. You can definately look forward to more enjoyable fish keeping in future man
  15. The close in on the zoo is taken with my coolpix 5000
  16. I know most pple don't but if wanna go thru all the trouble then by all means
  17. I have this one too, my first SPS frag for testing actually and it is really ultra floursence green. Worth buying.. Upz for you.
  18. For new fish no need to go thru hypo. Just quarantine them for 6 weeks. The stress due to shipment and change of tanks will surely caused it to get ich. So in 6 weeks the ich would have gone thru 2 cycles and multiply in sufficient numbers so you can see it on their bodies as pin sized dots. For corals if they don't come with LR then it will be safe to introduce immediately.
  19. use a better/more efficient skimmer. reduce feeding/bioload. increase flow in your tank. use RO/DI water.
  20. Partick has giant tangs.... wow he have to go buy those 3" dia PVC pipes
