  4. It is at the end of Ubi Road one (toward PIE side). On the other end of Ubi techpark. Near to OSIM building. Behind Geyland police station.
  5. 2011 without pump, $5 you want?
  6. I think they are stressed by the H2S released from the FR when you stop running it for 19hrs.
  7. white spots has nothing to do with FR or running carbon in it ma.
  8. I wouldn't dare try any medication on my reef tank
  9. I once bought a garmin GPS locally. Before that I was looking at mail ordering it but later I decided to get it locally at abt 40% more cost. After I got my garmin GPS, I used it and soon after 10mins or so it con out. I immediately went back to the local agent and they gave me a brand new unit. Wow imagine if I bought it from US and the same thing happen then I will need to send back to the US already. The price difference was around $400. Guess there is just a risk to take.
  10. those universal power strip/extension should be able to take these plugs directly.
  11. Here's a comparison of my salifin. Top 2 photos are from 12th Sept. The last one is in Jun, see how skinny it is and the terrible condition.
  12. Here's an old photo of my skimmer with my daughter standing besides it
  13. Missed this post yesterday while posting the photos. For my 4ft I did not do anything to it, just let the fish ride out the ich. So far so good. Not adding anymore new fish w/o going thru quarantine so should be okie. The exisiting fishes don't show any signs of ich outbreak so I guess the fishes has already gain immunity.
  14. Are you sure those are flat worm in the first place and not some secretion by the moon corals? My moon had something like that and I thought those were flat worms. After I took the moon coral out with the intention of removing them. I found that they are just some brown substances/liquid, you can try use a tissue paper and see if they are "sucked" out by the tissue.
  15. I guess that could be true but I read that the fine powder from the GAC which was produced from the FR will irritate the lateral line on the fish and caused the fish own immune system to attack itself thus causing the problem. Too many possible cause so best to try eliminate all of them.
  16. Here's more on the lateral line erosion. Just do a search on lateral line disease in RC and you'll get a lot of information. The problem here is that no one seems to have an exact clue on what is the cause of the problem. Some say caused stray current in the tank which I do not have any. Some say caused by diet Some say caused by the powder from GAC. Some say bacterial. The diease only affect some fishes and not all fishes in the same tank. However my observation is that after I stopped using GAC in FR then the fish started to recover. Here's some URL to more info. I'll post the photo in RC to see what they say. lateral line erosion part 1 lateral line erosion part 2 lateral line erosion part 3
  17. You buy overseas then no warranty So a bit of luck applies.
  18. Not really wasted. After you deforst the shrimps you use a toilet paper to squeeze the water from the shrimps dry. Then you drop the garlic and selcon. They will absorb them and your fish will eat them.
  19. Salifert kH testkit I think price ard $20+ don't really remember. Can get from EAN if you're in the east.
  20. Go for the salifert as most pple use it with reliable readings.
  21. I would suggest like what bro scarab suggested to get another brand test kit to measure the kH again
  22. I supposed Karen refers to the pH instead of the kH. kH should stable constant throughout the day. It is the pH that varies.
