  1. All my other 3 tunze are mounted with the extension kit. This one a bit special, I use the small "connecting" plate in the extension kit, add in the rubber sucker, now very secured already. The problem was the holder always get blown until it turned sibdeway. The rubber suckers solved my problem! phew. The strange thing is that the other two do not have this problem despite the tunze blowing at an angle.
  2. Here's how I mount my tunze. With the extension kit. Can see my auto-feeder in the background. My fishes survive on this when I am on business trip. They already trained, when it's around the time for feeding my blue and yellow tang will stay below there and wait. Once pellets dropped down, it's who's faster who gets the food
  3. Few weeks ago I bought the grade #0 from the same place but in the older white bags. It is still pretty clean and just a little iron particles. I guess just avoid the yellow bag ones will do.
  4. bought one packet of #0 sand today. It's in the new yellow bag instead of the white colored ones we used to see. Open and the sand is brown instead of white, that is acceptable. Put a magnet in to remove iron particles, in just two small scoops, I removed more iron particles compared to 16 bags of the sands in the older white packing and still a lot more. 99% of them are very fine powder like iron particles. I was still removing and can't seems to finish cleaning it after 30mins. I finally gave up and not going to use this bag anymore. $6/- down the drain. Don't ask me where I bought it, best to avoid the sand in yellow packings. Should not even be called sand, should be grade #0 iron particles.
  5. Digital ones the tolerance is terrible. Did you check the specs? It is normal to be +/- 1 degs or 2 degs, some worst. The glass bulb type are much more accurate
  6. went there but cannot find also. Seems like not so many pple use it. Might have to mail order from somewhere. Can only find 316 stainless steel but they will corrode in seawater too (eventually).

  17. Mine shits a lot especially after lights off. The shit kinda like flying out non-stop like that. Wonder where those foods came from since I do not really dose DT that frequently.
  18. The color was different probably due to color balancing. The fact that IR was used as the Red channel, Blue as Blue channel and a synthetic green frame was constructed from the IR and Blue channel could have resulted in the difference in the color in the two pictures. This is a very normal way of getting colored R(G)B images in astronomical images. (G) means it is synthetic green which means it is averaged out from the Red and Blue frames. This is nothing new and I do this at times for my images as well. The other fake moon landing crap has been bashed and explained by NASA already.
