  1. Wow really empty, where's the fishes? All up lorry?
  2. Roidan, Oh yes you also suggested to use a giant car jack, maybe must borrow from those car workshop liao! More photos will be posted soon. Skimmer has just started to foam again, probably due to some oil/chemicals in the new sump and pipings.
  3. Sump has been collected. Sorry to those that I did not reply your PM.
  4. Hi, Got tons of PM coming in. I will contact those that PM me first in order.
  5. I might have mixed up the W and H butr FOC This sump has 3 compartment, 6mm glass. Giving away FOC but on condition must collect by this evening else tomorrow I pay the indian workers to throw away. Too tired after installing my new sump so never wash it. Collect at Haig Rd.
  6. Save the money buy the 500VA APC UPS. cheap and good $72 at sim lim.
  7. The jack from my car - Power of dream - Honda. Sorry hands a little shaky after that so very shaky.... shot Operative load : 760kg, 17650 lbs. Charge maxi autorise 7.35kn More than sufficient to do this job
  8. Sump is installed and center beam for front side of the tank installed too. No more worries of the tank stand bowing and main tank cracking Between the previous photo and this photo it took me like 4 hrs
  9. Old sump is removed. Then installed a center beam for the wooden stand. Thanks to Ian for the tips to use a car jack The nightmare of having to drain out the water from the main tank then slowly hammer in the beam is gone. Here on the left of the photo you can see the installed beam. On the right is the car jack with a pc of 30mm PVC pipe that lifts the beam on the wooden stand allowing the center beam to be install. Oh yes a toilet paper is used to plug the overflow pipe as it's still dripping water since my tunzes are still running
  10. More photos of WIP. All assembled and ready to go. Oh yes this is after the power failure. Ball valve with orange handle is 25mm, with blue handle is 40mm.
  11. I was in the process of changing my sump. Fixing up the bulkhead. This after I still posted in my thread that I keeping my finger cross because if any blackout then my old sump will overflow and my place will flood. The real thing happened a few hrs before I get my new sump comissioned. You can say like lucky you are End up a min flood of abt 5l of water in my home
  12. ya... come take all my macro algae. The last compartment will have water abt 6" high and 2x1.5ft area while the baffles are 4" and the rest of the empty space is catered for backflow when power failure or when I need to power down the pumps. There will be approx 50% more capacity after complete backflow no more worries I can go on business trip with ease. My current sump just can't handle the flow and now I am trying my luck, the sump will overflow a little when there is power failure. Back to work else tonight cannot sleep. Basically it is a non-stop process till I get the sump running. 1st send the sump for leak test to check if the bulkhead are leaking
  13. Top view after tank adaptor (bulk head) installed, (very costly..... should have use those cheap sockets instead).
  14. New thread started else the thread gets too long. New sump arrived just nice for the new thread. Sump from Ian, dimension 3x1.5x1.5ft, 8mm Still wrapped up

  20. If you can't remove the LR that the mantis is in then just epoxy and plug/seal the hole. That will kill that fella
  21. A dip in acid will solve the problem His new toy can break down into shorter pc.
  22. Mad or not is another thing. I'll rather have more overskimming rather than under skimming. Imagine running a huge volume tank but with a miserable small tiny skimmer. Every week change water change till siao
  23. As long as my rowaphos and skimmer can tahan I will continue to flood the water with wild zooplankton then see how it goes.... fingers crossed.
