Actually it's that after the fish consumes the food soaked with garlic... the garlic will mask the small of the fish so that the ich will not be able to find the fish. Same principle as feeding your cats garlic tablets so they will not get tapeworm as fleas are the carrier of the tapeworm eggs. The flea cannot stand the smell of the garlic coming from the cat's body and will not infest the kitty.

what's skimmer are you using??? IMO most important abt reef keeping if that you must enjoy it. If you like what you are having now then by all means go ahead But the end results you have to answer for yourself

If you brush the hair algae then the spores will be floating around in your tank and then later they will grow back again. If you can... remove your corals and do a black out for a week followed by water change should be able to get rid of them. But they will come back again if the root cause is not solved.

while we're at this, weisoon, probably you can talk more abt the pro and con of the different standards we other pple here can have more understanding I know it is possible to convert to different standard by using the FIP true union ball valve by changing the end caps (not sure if I got the name correctly). Eg one end is DIN and the other end ASTM etc.

go LFS and ask for frozen mysis. The LFS wil give you the correct one. Don't throw all in at the same time unless you got many fishes that can finish them.
