  1. why worry abt the cost when you know well before hand how $$$ this hobby can get?
  2. okie okie.... go call your tank maker and order
  3. don't regret lar... change your tank lor
  4. ah.... mine is SMART-UPS 1000. Probably the battery cost ard $60 if I remember correctly.
  5. Which model are you using alfa? I paid close to $100 for mine. APC quoted $180.
  6. Yours is chio in other ways lar...... Healthy fish, healthy coral, clean and neat setup
  7. Must have SPS then can TOTM meh? Don't think so right.
  8. Just get the batteries change, they aren't that $$$. I got mine changed few weeks back, there's a shop at the basement of SLT that sells the gel cell. Just tell them the rating and they will give you the correct one. It's all standard sized. No need to waste money get original APC one
  9. The smart UPS series produces true sine wave. The non-smart UPS produces a stepped sine wave. I've not tried running my tunze with the ES series but Roidan has tried and he can relate more abt the results
  10. this one is stepped sine wave can only be used for running PC You'll need the smart-UPS.
  11. Deltec epoxy takes too long to cure But I still use it together with super glue gel.
  12. Sorry typo. By Paris, I meant at Paris Ris farm. PM = Pacific Marine. Ah Beng the actual address I dunno, only know how to go. Perhaps the rest of the bro can help you. Prices I can't help you
  13. I help adopt your AT so you can tear down your tank entirely
  14. I tried to remove it but it escaped. Never to be seen again.
  15. ribbon worm. I had one in my tank and it killed a bristle worm and eats it alive
  16. D70 is lowest range of the DSLR in nikon lei....
  17. My D70 remote is wireless one Show you the next time. One slight problem abt using tripod is the fishes would be moving around so you don't have the time to reposition the camera properly. For corals in macro mode then tripod would be important as the exposure time would be much longer and any small vibration would be very obvious.
  18. The crab so cham? I would think that the crap would be stuck in the impeller of the MD55 rather than get shredded. Could be some algae that got sucked into your CR then bleached in it and eventually came out of the CR and then go into your tank. That time some nori got into my CR and later came out as these white pcs too.. my tangs had a good supper then. The bride (jewel) is damn fast.... almost impossible to shoot properly
  19. Your AT as fat as ever Those white stuff har? Good snacks for your fishes lol.
  20. No.1 tips. Clean your glass It will make a world of difference. Aim your camera perpenticular to the glass so there is the least distortion. The thicker the glass the worst the distortion. For me I open the aperture to the largest so the shutter speed is the fastest. Many way to do it Don't use flash, you will not be able to capture the rich colors in your reef
  21. I know there's quite a few professional photographers or some very pro amatuers here in SRC ah. All hidden tigers. We just know very little and not so much experience later speak too much let people laugh only. But share some tips that we used for shooting the photos is okie but if got any mistakes then better correct us
  22. lol... this type of look usually the most difficult to get everything sharp in focus hor.
