  1. Hey can see that u placed two pieces of plywood under the foam. why don't u juz put 1 piece and the other on the bottom rack so at least u can put things like filter or others at the bottom? Ur tank too big for the stand isit? Instead of pushing the tank forward, cuzing it to jut out at the front, why not push it back so at least it jutting out at the back? Juz my 2-cents
  2. Hi uws, How's ur set up coming along?

  10. Tell u ppl, sure can't believe it. For all the newly updated photos, I used a Sony Ericsson K800 Cyber Shot, in micro and without the xenon flash. Unbelievable
  11. but what if the foam is a thin one, will it help to have a plywood under? Why I suggested this is bcuz I also did that for my new tank (in process). Felt that the foam might not be thick enough for the weight absorption, so placed a plywood underneath. I'm using the off-the-rack wrought iron stand too, which was told that some of this stands are hollow inside. So I thought the centre support bar might not be strong enough esp if it's a marine tank with rocks, sand and for the size used by UWS @ 2.5ft, I'm sure the weight is heavy. Juz my two-cents :-)
  12. correction... it's not that I don't need to change water but juz that I've been juz adding water only and almost every 6 months, do a 1 or 2 pail of water replacement, abt 5-10% only. That's why u only see the corals grow fat but not multiplying. Who would believe that there is no water change rite
  13. ...how long it had been since I last changed water?
  14. correction... rocks was bought back in 2003. This tank was set up in 2003 with no chiller, one lousy skimmer, 4 T-5s, no dosing of good supplements, no changing of water... condition simply CMI!!! Now much better but still no changing of water. Anyone wanna guess how how it has been since I last change water?
