  2. im looking for nice big bunch of chaeto (hopefully full of pods) im willing to trade my pink fushion / Watermelon Zoas (choose 1 frag which i sells for $10) for your bunch of chaeto. condition is you must bring to woodlands for me. SMS/Whatsapp me at 9106-3934 Thanks!
  3. As above, looking for a jebao wp-40. prefer one with the new speed controller and with warranty. retail is at $85 now so if i cant find one with a good price in this few days i'll just get a new one. SMS me at 9106-3934 or pm me to discuss. Thanks.
  4. razor color better because it has violets. razor spectrum better because it uses warm whites. cant vouch for coral color because i don't own a vega to compare. and when i meant i cant vouch for that, i meant that i cant vouch that coral colors (when using vega) would be in anyway worse then the razor, i can vouch that the razor definitely can color up SPS just like any other led fixture. to make it more simple, the razor is a good full spectrum light that when other parameters are good, definitely can color up SPS/Corals BUT Vega might not since it lacks violets. Im not saying it will not. just that you might have a better chance with the razor.
  5. i know where your going bro, i've never tried the vega, but i do have a friend who haves them. my comments on the vega are definitely bias but that does not mean its not true also, i don't need to have the vega to know that the vega lacks violet (unless deep blue = violet), its more expensive for lesser wattage and uses cool white + red/green vs warm white ( This is my personal preference ) if you meant about coral color, i admit that i cant vouch for that since i don't own the vega and since lighting is not the most important factor to sps colouration.
  6. Yes the vega is much better in controllability than the razor. When i mean color, i mean the corals color. Mainly because it seems like the vega lacks violets, while razor uses dual-core Violets. As for spectrum, vega uses cool white with a mix of color leds (red and green), while razor uses warm white (which consist of red and green too) which blends the light better. i personally think warm whites are better than cool white + red/green. upon more research, it appears that the vega color/blue has the so called "deep blue color led", it may or may not be violets (410-430nm). The razor is also cheaper while putting out higher wattage (120w vs 95w), better spread too. So IMO, the razor is a better choice here for me. edit : and what i meant by overkill (adding another vega) im not talking about the wattage or the amount of light, im talking about the price. might as well top up a and get the best fixture, which is the GHL Mitras rather than get 2 vega.
  7. make sense! guess i just have to tolerate with the toping up again!
  8. As above, looking for the casing it self only.. No need tubes or no need to be a working set. but if working i can take it too. SMS me at 9106-3934. Thanks!
  9. i have fears for high evaporation.. i used to keep a 34L nano chilled by fan, i had to top up 1.5L daily.. now i top up 1L daily for my 250L tank chilled by chiller.. i usually keep my door close so the aircon wont escape and i just measured my betta tank's water (same place its gonna be) and its 27C..
  10. Thanks! The tank will be placed on my computer table under a shelf.. Definitely no direct air con blowing.
  11. That's once of the problems of leds. Getting a 2-tube t5 would be a better choice since Vega lacks violets, you can get ATI actinic or blue plus to supplement. Adding another Vega would definitely be too overkill. Another solution would be to change out to another better light set. Probably a razor 120w. With 2 separate cluster. You'll likely get less shadow and also better color/spectrum den the Vega.
  12. Thanks! Thanks! The black board makes the tank look smaller but indeed dramatic! Thanks bro! it went through quite a few rescape before i got this.
  13. Thanks, hows urs corals taking the cold water?
  14. Hey fellas, how many of you keep before nano tanks in your bed room? with aircon at night. i have a small beta tank in my bedroom which temperature is probably 22 - 24C.. and will not go above 27C during day time.. thinking of setting up a nano! with mainly LPS/Zoas.. was wondering will it be too cold?
  15. Yes bro, you're right.. if i got a choice i would've gone 2.5ft width!
