i've tried fresh live baby brine shrimp. my mandarin doesn't even look at it.. ive read most people train them in a breeding net and feed live adult brine. but now cant find adult brine anywhere in sg..

alamak...like what bro viperR mentioned, you keep mentioning sick sick sick.. Thats the reason why its sick! with over 20 fishes in your small 2.5ft tank and only 1 month old, you're asking for it. Never cycle properly and your stocking up so fast, even if your fishes are not down with itch, im sure your tank will crash soon.. its only a matter of time. When you say about water changing but people still have fishes die, doesn't mean you can do without it. Its like saying you can eat all the junk food and do without healthy food because you've been doing that for 1 month and you are still considered healthy and nothing went wrong. its a long term impact. and i hope you make sure your mandarin get enough food ( in the form of frozen, your 2.5ft will NEVER be able to provide enough pods no matter how much you dump in) if not, please do train it. once again, i hope you understand that there are things in this hobby that you can never try to escape.. though i've only been reefing for a mere 4 months. I've kept freshwater (and still keeping) for a pretty long time to know that even for freshwater, water change is a MUST. Yes we've heard alot stories on how people 'successfully' keep their freshwater/reef tank clean and healthy without any water change, but (at least in freshwater) hormones are released by fishes and if you do not change water to extrate/dilute the hormones, they will stunt the fishes growth and without WC, like what other bros mentioned, trace elements are not replaced. if you insist of not practicing basic husbandry in this hobby, i suggest you decom that tank of yours and probably just visit RWS S.E.A to admire the marine fishes there. no hard feelings sis.

Hey guys, i'll be setting up a 3x2x1ft tank soon and with the base of 3x2, im gonna need quite alot sand. Im thinking of 1 inch.. probably going to need around 15 - 20kg i guess? im thinking of getting those grade 0 dry coral sand (sugar size?) instead of those carib-sea live sand which will cost alot more. what are the disadvantage of using such dry sand? and where can i buy them?

No offence but water changing is the most basic thing in this hobby.. IMO I dun see how any system no matter how good the equipments are no matter how mature the tank is, can thrive for long without WC

Yes. Including that pretty fella. To be honest. Over the course of 3months.i lost a pair of false perc(to brook) thereafter I left tank empty for a month, intro a pair of true perc from sea life and within 2 days, one went missing (take out everything including rocks but cannot find) one had swollen eye for 2 days and died. And just days ago. Intro another healthy true perc which happily feeds on pellet but again, within 2 days. Went totally missing. Check my floor everything no sign of him. I have Sexy shrimps, peppermint shrimps, snails and a Mandarin goby which have been in my tank for a long time and they are doing perfectly well. But I just can't seems to be able to keep clowns. Have yet to try other fishes though.

Fw dip will only slow down the disease but won't get rid of it. You'll need formalin. I tired with interpet no.7 but it didn't save my clowns. Somehow I'm unable to keep any clowns alive for more than a few days.

U saw live adult or baby? Bbs still have. Adult I've been hunting for months from alot lfs none of them have...

awesome looking tank! and thats really close to the brim! im using a overflow box so the water level should be a good 2 - 3 away from the brim. Lighting will be clip on as per what you say.. anyway, not related to shallow subject but issit worth topping up to have a front panel crystal glass? big difference in clarity as compared to normal?
