  3. please do share your sun coral here! beautiful suns jyoon. im actually quite interested in the black sun...
  4. looking good! one problem with such shallow and big tank is scaping.. my tallest rock is only 2cm away from the water level. think i can grow even the highest light demanding corals there. why not get razor instead? 2 120w Will be good for mixed reef. 2 160W will be perfect for mixed reef or SPS tank. im upgrading my tank to a single 160w razor soon. with such shallow tank, we can hang higher to get the coverage of whole 4ft.
  5. Seems like this sub-forum is pretty quiet.. would like to share my sun coral. http://s961.photobucket.com/user/fissiden/media/2013-05-23225958_zpsdc0e805a.jpg.html'> i feed it once every 2 days in a tub with mysis shrimps. it now opens daily at night. http://s961.photobucket.com/user/fissiden/media/2013-05-23230537_zpsed0a6f34.jpg.html'>
  6. Would like to know if tml lck201 and CF open? Anyone got their contact number?
  7. I bought the bigger model from ah beng. Quite strong leh.. Can chill my 34l well.. Also note that bigger fan will only mean higher evaporation.. A big sunon over that and you'll have to top up alot..
  8. Sunon fan are very noisy.. Get the dymax vortex fan. Smaller in size and very quiet
  9. I fed mine daily with pellets and made sure all 3 of my sexies got enough. End up still pluck my zoas. You've got some beautiful expensive zoas. I would say take them out ASAP. Use a net snd some food to lure them.
  10. I fed mine enough food but I still caught it plucking on the skirting of zoas. Only the female seems to do so.. I wouldn't risk it.. Some of those zoas that got most of their skirting eaten simply closed and slowly melted away.
  11. As above, bought these Brand New LEDs for DIY project but ended up getting a fixture. 1) 5x 3w Cree XPE 5000k Neutral White led with 20mm star board. http://s961.photobucket.com/user/fissiden/media/2013-05-23001626_zps96e47c2c.jpg.html'> $20 for all 5. i got them at $6 each. no separate sales. 2) 10x 3w epistar Royal Blue 455nm with 20mm star board http://s961.photobucket.com/user/fissiden/media/2013-05-23001606_zpse374d335.jpg.html'> $15 for all 10. bought them at $2.50 each. No separate sales. All LEDs have been tested to be working well. $30 if get all 15 LEDs, just get yourself a heatsink, some thermal paste, wiring and solder them up and these 15LEDs will be perfect for tanks up to 1.5ft. SMS me at 9106-3934 Thanks.
  12. wah.. can even dig till SRC deep deep inside just to advertise.. really hard work!
  13. yeah.. will be good to have a dosing pump but i guess for now i can only stick to manual dosing.. thanks for your advice ya..
  14. woah.. new tank 2nd day put in RBTA.. thats brave.. i didn't dare to try RBTA till my 34L was 3 - 4months old. good luck.. and i don't think a clam is suitable for your tank. your lighting may not be enough.. you'll need a wavemaker in there too.
  15. Currently all reserved. will update if buyer backs out.
  16. item 1 and 3 reserved for collection tomorrow night
  17. Yeah im keeping a look out for my kh and mag too. mag is fine and don't think i need to dose if i do 5% weekly, kH will need to monitor..
  18. some SPS colonies and some SPS frags, a 5" corcea clam. My tank is a 120x60x36 with a 50x35x45cm sump, after minusing liverocks sand etc etc. total water volume is at 260L. i do 30L once per 2 weeks. Im doing carbon dosing of vinegar daily, i read kalk need to drip slowly if not will affect pH too much if i chose to dose manually.. after some reading i decided to go with 2-part dosing instead..
  19. Clearing off some space for more SPS!!! 1) 2 head lumi-green Hammer. been with me for more than 6 months liao. Opens up to a slightly smaller fist size. http://s961.photobucket.com/user/fissiden/media/2013-05-21000040_zps7bbbb954.jpg.html'> $15 for this hammer 2) Green Star polyp Palm size on a rock. as above, the mat of the GSP is probably palm size, grown on a rock around 8inches long.. give it high flow, high light they can grow faster than you think.. http://s961.photobucket.com/user/fissiden/media/2013-05-21000052_zpsb78fdef5.jpg.html'> http://s961.photobucket.com/user/fissiden/media/2013-05-21000058_zps1a40e73a.jpg.html'> $10 for this GSP 3) Bright green skirting and purplish white center zoas. Im open to trade for SPS frags or LPS.. SMS me at 9106-3934 Self collect woodlands dr 72, feel free to view first before buying. Thanks.
  20. Thanks, currently using Red Sea Coral Pro salt at 10% once every 2 weeks. May change to 5% Everyweek.. Wow thats really alot!
  21. Thanks, right now Ca is being consumed at around 10ppm per day... have been measuring for some time to find the sweet spot to dose.. WC cannot keep up as of now. How much are you dosing right now?
  22. i used to run fan in my 34L.. with such hot weather nowadays, its hard to hit lower than 29C, without fan usually at 31-32C which is a killer for SPS... Wavemaker is one of the most important thing in your tank too, don't think you should turn it off.. i think the Resun CL-85 ( pretty small and cute chiller) works well for your tank.
  23. no budget and space for such expensive toys yet.. will manual dose for now
