  2. sounds like a big project! with 20k to spare, you can get one of the best equipments out there, of course have to depend on the tank size.. definitely looking forward!
  3. Don't think it's the vinegar that causes the drastic ph drop. My tank volume is almost half ur size and I don't experience such a drop. Could be something g else. Make sure your ph test kit or ph pen is well calibrated. Or accurate.
  4. Don't get me wrong. U meant that u bought colonies instead of small frags to grow.
  5. 4x2x1.2ft + sump - sand rocks etc. Estimated water volume to be 260l
  6. Looking good! But seems like u instant reef-ed your tank with sps colonies. Hopefully the color will stay!
  7. if you are using dosing pump and slowly drip 80ml vinegar through 24 hours. I doubt its gonna make any impact on your pH.. i dose 12.5ml at one go so can see the slight drop in pH.
  8. My gsp did fine in front of around 2000l/hr flow. About 5cm away and direct flow. Growing very well.
  9. Daily. I started from 8ml daily (twice a day 4 ml each time.) to now 25ml daily. N03 has never been above 5ppm even heavy feeding 2 times a day. I run rowaphos to keep po4 at 0. Btw I dose vinegar. I noticed only a change of 0.1ph when I dose 12.5ml into my 260l tank. I dose once in the morning and once at night.
  10. sorry for the late reply, so far my "pair" of CW appears to have drawn their own territories. the larger fella gets the front portion and the smaller fella gets the back. The larger fella will only chase the smaller fella if only he comes to the front. But no serious fight. Both eats greedily like pigs. i think after 6 months should be no problem liao
  11. Vodka causes cyano bacteria growth. Chances of cyano for vinegar is much lower. Think sg not so much people using vinegar. I personally uses vinegar for my tank. Good result too. Cheap as well.
  12. Maybe we should start a shallow reef club thread!
  13. Beautiful set up bro, IMHO, if this set up still does not color up your sps, im pretty sure its something else that is paling your SPS.. your Light is definitely going to work.
  14. i thought u already put in your tank.. kudos to you on waiting for tank to cycle...
  15. have to take note if by doing what u did, it may heat up the fixture.
  16. Thank you bro sherman. glad that you like it! All Acans frags are SOLD! Thanks!

  18. since you're using dry rocks, i suggest no matter what reading, make sure to cycle fully at least 1 month. and continue to dose bacteria too. Dry rocks does have it problems too.. that is why despite the risk of pest and less creative room for scaping, i chose to go for cured live rocks.
  19. Great choice.. Don't think will delay. Mine came on time despite heavy rain. No idea about the silicon.. Buy I would rather have green/brown silicon den black.
