  2. Doing great. But coverage not very good. And kessils are better lights so thinking of upgrading
  3. might want to buy the above, looking into changing from my Razor 27". Looking for 2 units, best if its still under warranty. im willing to trade my razor for ur unit + you top up (for 1 unit) or i top up (for 2 unit). SMS/Whatsapp me at 9106-3934 to discuss.. thanks.
  4. not a necessity, mainly for our own pleasure. T5s and MH turns on instantly too though MH does get warm up a little before going full power. think reefers in the US has done an experiment before and see no harm regarding instantaneously blasting corals with light. people with Kessils a350/a150 also can only have their lights turned on this way.

  7. Brand new par38 for sale. Basic Info : 12 x 3w Bridgelux LED. aluminium heat sink plastic housing easy to remove (to change/remove lenses) Basically the least hot par38 i ever used, on 12 hours straight and its only slightly hot when touched (other standard metal par38 design is pretty hot to touch) 90 degree removable lenses. LED : 2 x Warm White (3000k) - cover the red/green/yellow spectrum, with this you get MUCH better color blending and yet get enough reds. 2 x Cool White (8000k) - basically for asthetic purpose to balance out the warm white. 2 x Violet ( 410 - 420nm) - violets are what is lack from a few fixture even up till today, they are important spectrums for all corals. 6 x Royal Blue (455 - 460nm) with this combi, you're basically getting a 16-18k look crisp white with blue hue look. coverage of a single par38 hanging about 15" above water level over a 48x24x14" tank. remove the lenses and you get a even wider spread. Light comes equipped with 90 degree lenses, but they are removable as well as interchangeable by removing the plastic lid. Do note that the unit im selling is BRAND NEW, this unit i took apart is my own personal unit cause im using without lenses. this image shows the spread of a no lenses par38 4" above water level over a 35x35x40cm tank. Selling this unit for $65. comes with 1 week warranty from the day you purchase. holder for this bulb can be found at electrical stores or using Dymax Astro light holder will work. i believe camera stores and IKEA have them too. Collection/Testing can be done at woodlands dr 72. If you do not need to test (guaranteed working) or view, i can deal at pasir ris farm on weekends afternoon. SMS/Whatsapp me at 9106-3934.. thanks!
  8. biopellets and skimmer works hand in hand, the skimmer are suppose to be skimming out the bacteria that is eating the nutrients. its probably your ATS that is maintaining the low no3.

  15. biopellet is constant carbon dosing, vinegar can be stopped anytime. biopellet are usually used in a larger amount and i guess your tank will crash faster if skimmer breakdown. just my personal opinion
  16. vinegar is definitely safe, much safer then biopellets. been dosing 8 months vinegar, sometimes my skimmer overflows and skimmates all go back to tank, my tank handles it well.
  17. depends on your own, some change at the slightest rising of tds, as they want it strictly at 0, to me singapore water is fine, i change my resin when tds exceeds 10. i actually even top up some water with just tap water + seachem prime.
