I run my water through a crystal 3 stage too. 1 carbon and 2 resin. I use about 60l water a month ans they last about 5 months for me. Thats 300+L of water. My tap water tds is 60+. And for me i dont really bother about flow, so long as it comes out 0 im fine with it. I can make 15L in maybe 20-30mins.

Resin exhausted.. Have to change for sure.
-
If youre usually getting less den 5ppm and now 40,your resin needs to be changed. Did you used di water to set up your 3ft?msyne thats why it only lasted a month. Not only does resin depends on your wc regime, it also depends on the tds of your tap water. The higher it is, the faster the resin exhausts.

Indeed they have been. They might be the only tank maker able to do it in sg. I don't see why you cant do in on the width! Sounds like an interesting rock scape! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks! i hope it will be! Going to be another great tread to follow.

Hey fellas! some of you might know im actually downgrading my tank and this thread will be for my new tank. It's not a big downgrade, and to some extend its an upgrade as well. Here are the tank specs: Tank size : 90x45x45 10mm Front crystal with Bean animal C2C Overflow made by CRA. Sump tank : 60x40x45 6mm 2 compartment Skimmer : Skimz Mini DC SN123 Lighting : Maxspect Razor 160w 16k + 2x24w T5 Return pump : Jebao DC 9000 Chiller : Hailea HS-66a Substrate : CaribSea Fiji Pink 40lb Wavemaker : Jebao Rw-8 After i cleared my old tank, i borrowed a blue FGT tub from a friend and transferred some zoas, SPS as well as 2 fishes (mandarin & Bi-color blenny) and also some leftover live rocks over and so far its been a week and all corals and fishes are doing well. The LR will be used to seed my new dried rocks and will be placed in the sump. http://s966.photobucket.com/user/kalthuslee/media/DSC07652_zps9ec9a1bc.jpg.html'> As i said above, i will be using only treated dried rocks for my display. A total of 12kg Tonga + Tonga-like rocks were purchased, soaked in bleach & Vinegar and sun-dried. These are the rocks http://s966.photobucket.com/user/kalthuslee/media/IMG_20141102_112143_zps756d74db.jpg.html'> http://s966.photobucket.com/user/kalthuslee/media/IMG_20141101_111522_zpse64f5e5b.jpg.html'> Bought this from AM with their current promotion! they will be used to scape my rocks. http://s966.photobucket.com/user/kalthuslee/media/DSC07655_zps95f16827.jpg.html'> My inspiration comes from Mr Kang's reef tank from korea.. Simply love the overhanging and floating look and will attempt to do a similar rockwork, though i do not have access to such beautiful rocks of his.. Im currently scaping the rocks and will do updates as and when i can! Thanks for viewing!

No one should be keeping any sharks in any tank. The black tip reef shark you saw on sale are probably kept in a extremely undersized tank. If you are able to build a pool size tank/pond then maybe you can keep one. Not mentioning their diet and what kind of equipments you need to run such a big tank. Like i've said before, some fishes should be left in the ocean, and they are definitely one of them.

Does biosphere contains any gfo or phosphate reducing media? If they dont then its not the same as aio biopellet.
-
indeed it will be a mess! but i still suggest you take out ur rock to smell for bleach. thanks and i definitely will!
-
U only need anti chlorine to remove the bleach in ur rocks. Not for the rodi. If u did soak in anti chlorine then i guess you are fine. Best is to smell see if got anymore smell or buy a chlorine test kit to test.
-
Did u add anti chlorine while soaking in rodi? U only changed water once? If u didnt not add anti chlorine im afraid there might still be bleach in ur rocks..

Ive been using revive all these while and i think they are they best currently. Some ppl are trying out bayer. Which is said to be the best for AEFW

amazing growth! great tank

Looks really clean! how come don't buy the newer HS model for your chiller?

Prodibio Biodigest!

what happen bro! decom upgrade or downgrade?!
-
Yes indeed. Free bulbs too. But take note, if ur a hardcore SPS keeper, youll have to change your bulb every 10 months. And 12 months if u wanna save some money. Thats 180 bucks every year for bulb change (8 tubes). And this only applies for ATI Light set.. For lousy set like aquazonic, bulb change have to be made sround every 6-8 months.
-
anyone can recommand? going in jan.. thanks!
-
They are decent T5s but im not sure of the price now.. but im sure even if ATI were a little bit more expensive, its only logical which is the better choice IMO.
-
422 full SPS for all 3 kind of lighting my recommandation will be : 1) led : maxspect razor 300w (budget) Or 2x ai hydra 52 (deep pocket) 2) t5 : ATI Sunpower/power module 8/10 tubes. 3) Mh : probably will need 2x 250w and also 4 tubes t5 (2 front 2 back) 4) t5 + led : ati powermodule led hybrid. The mh will produce not only alot of heat got your tank, but for you as well. Option 4 would be the best choice out there IMO.
-
A 150w led run thr same wattage as a 150w mh BUT a good 150w led has much higher PAR then a 150w mh.. Led is good but has yet to be entirely proven.. Ati is definitely proven and prices are getting very attractive from aquamarin

Nudibranches, I assume u do not have any dip with u right now. Do a fresh water dip for about 10-15 mins.
-
Nice clean look! How do u find the noise level of the chiller?
