Hey fellas, anyone using the above to control their no3 and po4? whats the result?

read on some forum with a guide.. 5 mins dips in FW, 1 min shaking the zoas in the water as hard as you can so that any pest will drop out.. i only see dirt on the bottom of the container which i use to dip the zoas.. no other pest found though.

dips like coral RX? i read online and most say freshwater dip for zoas are enough.. but i also read even coral dip cannot remove those nudi eggs.

Hey fellas, Would like to start a discussion here.. all along this few months collection zoas for my nano tank, i have always been buying only from reefers.. Thinking that those wild zoas from farms might be full of pest and i do not want to risk this... Went to irwarna today and saw a piece of zoa colony which attracted me so much, i decided to buy it and took the risk.. i did a 5 - 6 mins freshwater dip (using DI water and baking soda to match my marine tank's pH) and used a magnifying glass and a torchlight to scan for nudis, nudis eggs or any other weird stuff.. all i see was just pods and pods and more pods.. so i guess im lucky this time round.. Anyone who bought their zoas or other corals from farm oftenly came with pest, or is it generally safe?

unless you are sure of the table quality and material (chengai is oftenly used for good cabinets) if not better use stand..

FOWLR is easier to maintain.. Easy corals like zoas, mushrooms are easy corals.. read enough and plan enough its not difficult to set up a coral tank..

found 2 more polyps on another rock.. worry there may be more.. decided to buy peppermint shrimp tomorrow from iwarna.

any cheap small acan corals in iwarna or ah beng? want to try one for my nano tank.

Where to get Joe juice? I did try to pluck it once but it didn't come off.. I hope it didn't spread.. Still opening on the same place..

Alright.. Do those sunkist lemon works? I've seen video on ppl using needle to squirt into the mouth but those aiptasia is too small for me to do that..

oh! this is the new MHX.. 2 more extra rows of 3W leds.. do they come attached with lens? i have the normal 6x3watts and they have no lenses.

Saw something that looks like aiptasia on my live rock.. Currently only managed to spot 5 polyp of this. i tried squirting it with very hot water (not boiling yet) but it didn't die.. i read sunkist lemon can kil aiptasia instantly..

any idea which farm/LFS got pom pom crab?

IMO, acrylic although clarity is good, scratches too easily.. i suggest you can custom make crystal glass panels if you want clearer display.. as for other stuff like lightings, skimmer, powerhead, salt and etc.. i suggest you decided on what kind of stuff you want to keep... simple FOWLR, easy corals or aiming to keep SPS in the future.. all their requirements are different.. Just my 0.2cent worth.. im also a new reefer like you! Anyway, i haven't been to any farm that sells lots of equipments but for LFS wise.. i think madpetz has the best service and knowledge.. they will be able to guide you through and they should have most of the equipments you need.

remember to open up ur canister and clean at least once a month if not it'll become a nitrate factory.. best is once a week or once per 2 weeks.

Hey fellas, few days ago i bought the above for my 34L nano tank and since the dosage is 2ml/100 and my tank, after minusing sand, LR etc etc im only dosing 0.5ml per day. which means this 2 500ml bottle is gonna last me 3 years! I am thinking of selling away 300ml each of A & B and only keeping 200ml for my use (which can still last me 400 days!) Do note that i only bought this 2 supplements 3 days ago and it has been in the fridge once i opened it.. you will receive the original bottle with menu and the dosing cup that came with it.. no box as i threw it away already. Bought at $29 each ($58 for both). Im selling at $30 for 300ml of part A & B (total 600ml).. based on my calculation it will cost you $34 for 300ml each if you were to buy from somewhere else.. so my loss is your gain! great chance for nano reefers!
