Hi fellow reefers, just wondering... Who still using Blue Treasure Salt? When it was first out, there was a lot of hype because of the price. Anyone still using? Any issues with it?
-
I agree with Bro James. Most reefers have their few favorite LFS that they frequent and hang out more often than the rest. But hardly hear people chiong whole island over 4-6 hours, sure drive till ZZzzZZz... Hahaha... Just my own thoughts only...

Bro, RSPS... You meant RSCP (red sea coral pro) is it?
-
Bro reef fish, so which u prefer? I personally can't decide whether to stick to DD or Red Sea Coral Pro! Any thoughts?

Err... Thick enough. As in, its the same thickness as those i see across most 4 feet tank. Tank maker has pretty good rep and experience too, so i should think the proportion in accordance to thickness ratio shouldnt be the issue. Floor is leveled, jus checked... Btw, those having a 4 feet tank without center support pillar, mind taking a look and check it out too? Wanna see if its a normal thingy... Thanks Reefers

A bit hard to do so because i have a huge sump. The back of my tank is against the wall, even if i car jack the front center part, the back part center part cant be done unless i tear down everything, remove my sump, and re-start.

Hi Reefers, thanks for any idea contribution. I am currently using Chengai wood, support is only at 4 corners without center support. Its not very obvious, unless u measure it or use your eyes to look along the entire length/piece of wood. I am just concern that 3-5 years down the road, it might collapse. Any reefers 4 feet tank collapse before? (i hope not, its a terrible thing to happen to anyone)...

Hi Reefers I have a 4x2x2 tank for about a year, my tank stand is supported by 4 wooden pillars. I noticed that the center part of the stand is slightly lower. It is not an extremely bad case because it is not visibly noticeable with your eyes. I used a level bar to measure (the one with a bubble in the center), and realise that the center part is just a tiny bit lower. Does anyone experience this as well? For those who don't, try measuring it or even simply looking down the length of wood to determine if the center portion is slighltly lower. I am concern whether will it collapse in the long run (say about 3-5 years). On the other hand, i always feel comforted when i visit the farms. Most of their wood support for their general stocking tanks seem sibei jialat, but still stand after so long. Any comments and inputs will be appreciated. Thanks.

I think the program got confuse with the 1200hrs/0000hrs mode. I read abt it somewhere. Firstly, set the time properly, and dont use any time point with 0000hrs in it. If have to, stick to 2359hrs etc...

Hahaha... That really got me laughing

It will disappear overtime when the tank matures. It's part of the cycle, do read up more bro.

Well said guys, shall keep that in mind. Thanks all for the fruitful discussion.

It does sounds like BK is better than Deltec from your reply. Bro Resser, you meant to say, if money is not an issue than go for BK skimmer is it? Roughly how much is the range in terms of costing? $500, $1000, $1.5k??
-
Will do bro. Any bros out there have tried both Deltec and BK skimmers? Which would you go for?
-
Is BK better than Deltec? Anyone got first hand experience? I think reefdepot no longer have it already, no more BK skimmers on their web site.
-
Hi Seniors Just wanna ask, which brand of skimmer is considered the best if money is not an issue?? And which brand is the most value for money (if money was an issue)?? Thanks

Too bad it is hard to buy it separately. Most of the places selling it in a whole set
