  3. NEON GOBY! NEON GOBY! I want NEON GOBY! hahaha ok ok all those who have a insider tip of ORA shipment soon pls pls let me know!
  4. iceman are you still running a scrubber? saw you posting some on the forum and am wondering if you're still running it?
  5. Hmmm very unlikely as its isolated from the rest of the coral. Will monitor it and hope all goes well
  6. Thanks brother bobie for the pics, so far my scrubber is showing signs of brown algae growth and spotted some green hair algae on some parts of the scrubber. Cross fingers that it will bloom soon. Also if we don't follow SM's recommended dimensions so no matter if its small or large, the scrubber will still function as a N03 and P04 remover? Cos as i read through the post i noticed majority of the scrubbers are supporting a smaller gallon tank. Eg 10x10 size scrubber supporting a 50G tank. My current scrubber size is 7" x 12" for a 100G tank So any advice?
  7. Ok thanks for the tip peter. At night when it opens the tentacles are short and stumpy unlike the other Rhizo that i have her tentacles are very normal. I think i must stuffed the poor chap when i gave a slightly large prawn and the next morning i saw slime around the mouth area. Oh dear there hope it will recover!!
  8. Hey reefers, has anyone experienced small brown spot on any of your clowns? recently my pair of black ocellaris has small brown spots....what could it be? Pic will be coming up shortly.
  9. Hey reefers, has anyone experienced the above with your Rhizo? When it opens the tentacles are short and stumpy very unlike the 1st time it opened. Could it be its over exhausted from eating too large prawn meat? pls share and advice
  10. Thx man....what a waste missed the ORA shipment.........oh well if there are any ORA shipment do let me know thx
  11. Any one knows if there are ORA shipment anytime soon? If anyone or someone spotted neon goby pls let me know!
  12. 10x10 is more then enough, its the WIDTH that makes the scrubber. Refer to SM 1st post and you see his calculation on the size of your scrubber. 1 layer of rough material is enough. For me i used two sheets as the 1st sheet i used as a support and the other finer mesh sheet i used it to grow my algae.
  13. No worries about the frag just pulling your leg......Wa! shipment on a Wednesday! unbelievable! Yellow, Purple and Blue Yumas!!!! Where there alot when you unpacked? I think friday must go and chiong!
  14. Are you running both? If you are hows the outcome of your NO3 has it been reduced alot?
  15. we want frags we want frags we want frags
  16. Er........ Sgreef moderators may i ask why this TOPIC has been shifted to the FORUM TOPIC? I think it should be left in its original section of the IMPORTANT TOPIC. Reason being that when new reefers who view this "The Main Forum" they can view it straight away rather then when reefers post or reply a topic then the topic will go all the up to the 1st post. Just my opinion.
  17. I got my at selffix shop. So i believe you can get it from any DIY or hardware shop
  18. You can get the mesh from any hardware shop or any DIY shop. SM may i ask if the screen that i have done using a sturdy mesh as support followed by a smaller mesh to catch the algae growth is a good idea?
  19. Hi there SM merry Christmas and a happy new year. I have added a new pump and adjusted the flow and now its flowing constantly as shown. Bulb changed to a 3000k 12W cfl. 1" away from screen Just some info my screen is 7" wide, flow wise am not too sure as i didn't measure. How long will the algae start to bloom?
  20. Where did you get this gumdrop goby from? looks like a frogfish don't mind me saying. Fantastic FTS!! too cramped? selling some items to make space?
  21. Yea same here i have 100 NO3 now and am trying different ways to reduce it, currently dosing vodka to reduce it. When should i turn off the skimmer? Now or when algae blooms? Can't afford to remove it now as sump space is taken up by the skimmer so once the scrubber is in full swing will remove and construct a bigger one.
  22. Thanks bobie, will wait for your pictures. Timer to be set the opposite from tank? For the initial stage or later on when algae has bloomed? I find it hard not to run the lights for 24hrs.....i need to grow algae!!!! hahaha Need to reduce NO3 in tank!!! If this project is a success then skimmer and FR is off on sale!
  23. Hi Bobie, Care to post a pic of your current algae growth on your scrubber? Have adjusted the flow and now i am getting a constant flow as SM mentioned. What about wattage of lamp? whats the ideal wattage? i changed from a 20W to a 12W CFL
