Keep the new fish in a betta box till they get use to each other. Give them about 2 weeks. Then release the new fish once the lights are off, as this will reduce stress and also give the new fish a place to find a hiding spot

Provide us some specs, eg are you using a skimmer, how big is your tank......nutrient high tank will have nusiance growth of algae. The only way to reduce NO3 via chemical way is using AZNO3.

ATS does remove diatoms, no i don't think your LED is the problem. Whats your current nitrate and phosphate level?

If you have space you might want to try a algae scrubber, it's working for me. No diatoms and green hair algae slowly reducing. You can look under General reefkeeping and look for MEGA NITRATE REMOVER.
