Hey guys any advice on why elegance that has been with me for 6mths isn't opening up fully, semi recessed in skeleton? Can't be disease as if it is it would have been wasted within a mth. Pls advice. Parameters are Ph 8.19, NO3 20, PO4 0.5, Ca 350, temp 26. Placement on the sandbed semi shaded area. Currently using 6 T5 39W

Problem solved i just moved the acrylic box flush with the T5 fixtures so now its like 1.5inch away. The only draw back is that only the top half where it shines on has algae growth non the less the other side is doing superbly. Day 3 and algae growth are unbelievably fast.

So its best you control your parameters to prevent more algae growth.

Any reefer knows a hardware shop in the east that sells ball valve with coupling that i can fix on to my outflow pipe without using teflon tape or glue. And anyone knows Dr Evil's contact number?

Its a torch, don't know why its tentacles are a little strange. When it was at GO it was a TORCH a real TORCH! Maybe too much feeding? i don't know? Just take care of it and may it blossom.

Thanks for the ID topic, able to also share which species are hardy? i know Cespitularias and Pipe organ coral are easy to take care. Never had any luck with clove, waving hands and xenia. Not sure if its true that they need high nutrient waters
