A Review On Accuracy Of Salinity Measurement Appar
Jameshong replied to CalciumReef's topic in Product Reviews
I think the accurancy measurement very related to cost . The more accurate the equipment/tool can measure, the more expensive it is lor ! A sign of high cost hobby again Anyway, it is a good review! Thank Bro. -
My tank is newly setup and it's about 2 months old All Live rock, lighting, chiller, pumps are from my previous 2.5 yrs 4x2x2' tank. My New Tank detail; 1. 3x2x2.5ft with Sump, 2. Hilux 150w MH with 2x39w T5 HO blue pro (I modified the set to all eballast and FL tube to T5 HO myself) 3. Resun CL650 chiller 4. 80kg Live rock Fishes; 5 moorish idol 2 Diamond watchman gobies 2 signal Gobies 1 red spotted watchman Goby 1 pink bar Goby 1 fire Shrimp 2 seahorses with a few red, purple, brown Mushrooms, yuma, Sun Coral and plants(red grape). I intend to mix with LPS or SPS at later stage that why think of upgrading chiller and lighting(250W) ! I think the 0.5HP Chiller will hv less kick in/out that why intend to change lor! But again, all this is planning stage only !

I'm currently using CL650 and it's working fine . If the review is good, then i may decide to upgrade lor.. Anyway, r u going to buy it and make a review there? just joking...
-
I think it has to

Hi reefers, I'm thinking of getting a Resun C0500 to replace my CL650 . Can anyone, who purchased/owned Resun C0500 chiller make a review/comment compare against CL650, in term of effectiveness, quietness..etc?

Lucky, consult fee paid by my company, else cannot tar han I should said that downgrading is not easy ;)n It need time and money to achieve that lor:evil: -
Sorry ! Never notice the Elephant ear already sold...
-
Hi Marble, How big is the Elephant ear Mushroom?
-
Har? You means there are 2 type of Mysis, one is SW n another is FW ! If this is the case, then the nutrition should be different liao lol . Anyway, i have just bought the Hikira Mysis, but my Moorish don't want to eat except Brine Shrimp soap with Entrice and Galic.
-
Hi Fuel, Thanks. I'm just interested to try it due to good review from US website ! Btw, do u know what is the different between "PE Mysis" against "Hikari Mysis"?
-
Hi all, Do anyone know where(LFS) can buy Frozen "PE MYSIS SHRIMP" in west side of singapore ?

Me also C9L2, since 2002, and till now no reservist, no recall and also no IPPT.Not sure whether is there any c9L1 or not? According to my army friend, who is a clerk, told me that there will no reservist for me liao but still need to call up when go oversea lor . -
Hi LoReNsIa, I know that BS is not so good, but it has to kick starts first lor. If the SH can eat BS, i think it is more easy to try Frozen mysis lor. Btw, I hv mixed with zooplankton too. Hopefully can train to take pellet formula one dry food!

Hi SC88, i have also purchased from 2 seahorse from LCK last saturday, my is bigger than your ! IMO, select slightly bigger is better, so it is easy to feed with frozen brine shrimp(BS) else you have to look for smaller BS. My personnel experience, You can try mixed the frozen brine shrimp with seachem ENTRICE and GARLIC for one day before feeding them. i have personally try it and work for my 5 MI and 2 seahorse lor My MI eat like pig and the seahorse do eat also, about 6~8 BS per feed, 3 times a day. Hope it work for u....

how much u bought the Rowa har. Can PM me the price and the size? Thank -
Hi, Pump tentatively reserved by Jamieyys.
-
It is still consider high lei, bro. My NO3 is 10ppm, and i'm not satisfly! Ideal NO3 should be undetectable, i'm cracking my head to solve it by using natural way for long term purposes. Hopefully, any expert can advice the method or technique of doing in the natural way to reduce NO3b ?
-
Hi Panzz, My main tank setup is a DSB with 80Kg LR,but w/o any plant. All Live rock and sand is from my 3 years old tank at my old house . There is a small sump below the tank, but mainly it is for the Skimmer, chiller's pump filtering material only. It is a new setup about two months plus, hopefully the NO3 will gradually reduce to 0 lol.
-
Ha...ha..ha..zephyros, I think we should exchange the tank water so that it will balance up for both of us lol . Btw, do anyone know how to reduce NO3 from 10ppm to 0 ? or it's ok for NO3 to be 10ppm ?
-
Hi bro gerald28, This is a marine forum lei . IMO, you should not post it here lor.. no offence
-
Hi, I just tested my water parameter and surprisely the Mg, dKH and Ca are at the high side . How am i going to reduce it to the ideal level? I'm using Oceanic Natural Sea salt with a tank size of 3*2*2.5 ft. Tank housed 5 MIs, 5 gobies(3types), 3 stars and 5 turbo snails. My Parameter: Specific Gravity 1.023 Temperature 26°C pH 8.2 Alkalinity 17 dKH Ammonia (NH3) Undetectable Nitrite (NO2) Undetectable Nitrate NO3) 10 ppm Phosphate (PO4) 0.1 ppm Calcium 480 ppm Magnesium 1700 ppm Btw, how to reduce the NO3 to undetectable har !

Hi dominik, Thanks for reply. The one i bought cannot calibrate and it keep on giving me either 0.2 or increase to 15~ 17. I thought it need special technique, so i keep on reading the instruction and also post for help lor. Finally, i went back to 328 to verify and the uncle said it's faulty and then exchange one new pH pen for me . Thump up to them, very reliable neighbourhood LFS
