Hi oqs, The mod for MH is not cheaper...and easily cost 300buck +++. you need; 1.Custom make reflector, 2.MH bulb 3.holder 4.eballast 5.Fan 6.heat sensor circuit - incase of over heated and melt the canopy. 7.Custom make Aluminium sheet 8. UV glass Why not just remove the canopy and buy a light fixture and put on top of the tank instead?

Hi crash, As bro arcanehacker has mentioned...1ft tank is not easily to maintain the stability of the water parameter and Since you have already setup the 1ft tank, I would not comment much...but my advice is WC frequently. Usually, Pico tank crashed b'cos NO2,3, PO4...etc strike due to lazy of WC after sometimes so pls bear in mind. Happy reefing

Temperature 26°C Alkalinity KH 10 meq/L Calicum CA 400 mg/L Magnesium MG 1380 mg/L Nitrate NO2 0.05 mg/L Phosphate PO4 0 mg/L Nitrite NO3 0 mg/L Ammonia NH3 0 pH 8.25 Salinity 1025 Parameter still not bad although the CA n MG is slightly low... . anyway, I have already boosted up both to 450mg/L n 1440mg/L liao before this posting !

Some update... Remove the original canopy and replaced new purchased Solite 2ft Mh with 2 T5HO. Picture will be update after afew days late when all corals get use to the new lighting

If you are buying resun again...I would suggest to repair/service the current set provided repair cost is reasonable. Else buy Arctica chiller for better performance, reliablity and low noisy but a bit ex than resun.

Hi all, How can I dim the MH from 250W to 150W with dimming eballast? do I have to add a dimmer or those claimed dimmable eballast already build in the variable knob/switches for me to reduce the watt consumption? Can anyone advice?

Can incorporate heat sensor incase of over heated ?

The original canopy can't withstand the heat from 150w as adviced by DE. However, the nanocustom in US is able to do that with their kit set but is very Ex to import and also the concern of different AC voltage. My sps grow quite a lot under stock lighting but colour loss out abit so thinkin of fixing MH.

Hi, Think of modifying my RSM stock lighting of 2x55w PL to 1x70w MH with 2x18w actinic PL light if there is no much inprovement then I might drop off the idea. Any comments or advice are most welcome
