  4. hi everyone. i am downgrading my tank as i do not have time to maintain it due to other commitments. therefore, im selling off my corals. pics are as provided below. sry for the poor colour rendering of some of the corals as i had to use flash. if you are interested in any specimens, pls sms me at 91789590. no pm pls.
  5. yes. provided that the cleaner shrimp is large enough in relation to the hawk.
  6. an air diffuser is not required provided that you have adequate surface movement for gaseous exchange. you might want to look into investing in a skimmer though.
  7. i dont think turtle weed is a gd choice for feeding your tangs. i read somewhere that they produce a toxic substance to deter herbivores from eating it.
  8. wah 2 different species of goby can live in the same hole? they dun fight at all?
  9. how long has it been like that? only after u changed water?
  10. you still havent answered bro diabolus question. are u a reefer in the first place or not?
  11. just buy an AT that looks healthy and active. mine took 2 mths before it started eating mysis and prepared food. until then no choice but to feed red bamboo and dried nori lor..
  12. my tank is a 4x2x2. seems like one of the smallest arnd. AT is nearing 3 mths old. so it would eventually outgrow the tank? its abt 3.5 inch now.

  14. squids and jellyfishes arent exactly fishes but really. probably 99% of all these creatures dont even survive past a week in our tanks. the thing is, LFSes still bring them cuz some pple actually buy them.
  15. yea then the skimmer is just dealing with the die off from the bacteria bloom. nothing to do with the tuning. let it run, dun add anymore sugar and it will resume normal skimming soon.
  16. the reason why bio balls and other filtration media become nitrate factories is that they provide a place for aerobic bacteria to grow. it is this bacteria that breaks down ammonia into nitrite and eventually nitrate. however it is better to remove the ammonia even before it can be broken down. this can be done through the use of efficient protein skimming. if u have a powerful protein skimmer, any filtration media is unecessary IMO.
  17. did u add any new additives to your tank recently? also check for any livestock deaths.
