Hey siangz, mine is half a feet wider 4 x 2.5 x 2 RB did the calculations for me and my tank volume is (if I remember correctly) 566L and the total volume of the sump is about 120-150L or so.. I can't remember .. so I round it up to 700L la. Anyway, yes, I will not try powders until probably end of the year.... don't want to see another beauty go down because of my foolishness. I just want the rest of my fish to go back to the state before I even tried powders 3 weeks ago. Now my Tangs have all recovered, left the rest of my fishes I see they have spots but they are all still eating and swimming around. The Male anthias scared me and Ketchup when we saw him resting on the sand but then every now and then he'd get up and swim around with his harem of other fish. Then he'd go sit on the sand again.. and then he'd go swim around... Guys, if I go meet you for another LFS outing, please SLAP me if I look gian @ fishes... i only intend to add coral.. NO FISH for the next month or so. lagi like intervention... haiz! and yes, I clean my skimmer cup every 3-4 days. I have had Ming's SPS for about a week or so and it's actuallly GROWING.. Ah siangz, my system is about 700-800L in total including sump etc. so making 200L and not using all of it is about 20% WC not much la... especially if alternate week... Desi

CEDRIC!! NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...... my condolences... To be honest the PBT you guys saw me buy is also not doing good.. I swear on all that is marine relatedly holy, if this little one goes to heaven, i will not buy any more powders until my water parameters are better. ENOUGH for the time being.. All other fishes doing ok so far. Did nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, Mg, CA, KH testing and everything is good and the results were : Nitrite and Phosphate : 0 MG : 1290mg/L Ca : 420-430ppm KH : 8 DKH ph : 8.4 SG : 1.025 nitrate : 25-50ppm <-- this one is my killer so I'm working on it. Btw, I'm seriously considering getting a RO unit.. my stupid Crystal PRO is crap... I do one water change of about 200L or so and now the reading has climbed back up to 70ppm! And this is buying the slightly more expensive Resin! WTH! I should not have wasted 200 on this unit and gotten a RO in the first place. Damn.... once I get a RO I"m going to sell of this crystal pro to somenoe with a NANO tank as I think it's more suited for someone with lesser water requirements! desi

But ebay ones are US voltage? You buying the converter to convert it to work on singapore voltage/wattage ? Ketchup is of the opinion of don't water change too much..... Although I prefer to do it weekly.... so I meet him half way.. ALTERNATE WEEK.... Just change MORE! desi

I am dosing Prodibio Biodigest 1 ampule and 2 ampules of Biotim every alternate week. I only started 1 month ago on it btw. I used to do water change every month but after talking to Cedric, I am going to try water changing every ALTERNATE week to be the same time as my bacteria dosing of Prodibio. So my next waterchange is next weekend. Cheers Desi

GUESS WHAT!! CAUGHT A WORM!!!!! Saw it crawling into one of the movable rocks whilst I was watching the new PBT yesterday and I cheonged to get it out and dumped in a small scoop of water and squirted it with an entire squirt of Coral RX... let it soak OVER NIGHT and here is the C*** B***... Day 2 and the PBT is still alive and swimming... the YT hardly chases it already.. can swim side by side with no issues although sometimes for no discernable rhyme or reason.. they do chase each other.. A sad thing that happend today was one of my male anthias ( out of the 3 anthias left) has died... there was a major wound on it's body which I think was inflicted by the other male anthias .. for some strange reason out, 2 out of my 3 anthias turned full male and both kept on fighting each other.. so I guess one finally won. haiz as to quote Sheldon ( Big Bang Theory.. anyone watch this?!) " nature.. thou art a heartless b*****!!".

Just fed a mixture of 3 kinds of pellets this morning Form 1 & 2 Ocean nutrition ANd Dr bassler's forte and I see it whacking all of it as it falls from the heavens! It was constantly nipping at the algae at my overflow wall and rocks, and swimming ALL over the place... The YT occasaionally does make a bee line for the PBT but the PBT thank god is big enough to give it the middle FIN and also WHACK back with his slighly bigger tail fin. UPdate : Both Powders are dead. Came home and as expected the PBT in the holding tub.. goner.. the powder brown also.. had died.... this one.. I am breathing a sigh of relief. his suffering is over. Powder blue is too sudden and ketchup and I are just too sian about that one. Both lasted us a grand total of 20 days. However now, I can't seem to find my yellow wrasse and 8 line. Usually both will only hide when the blue atinics turn off but when we came back with both the blue and purple atinics on, both were no where to be found... even when i was feeding the frozen food.. I expected them to appear but zilch. I can only hope and pray both cheong for the sand when the MH went off ( though this situation is very rare as usually both will be up until the blues turn off about 1.5 hours later!). Defnitely saw both last night and saw the yellow wrasse this morning.... will be doing water testing to confirm water parameters are alright... did it on sunday night and everything was fine EXCEPT for nitrates which is hitting 50ppm (expected) so do again tonight. Hoping for better news when the sun rises tomorrow morn. haiz.... Desi
