ok some pics to mark the 59th day of this tank's existence. Top down view with blue and white LEd Side view with only Blue led on ( used some paper to cover the 2 white LED lol) Side view with Blue and White LED : Iphone 4 cam does not do justice to the colors.. I"m still ka chiowing one of my office colleagues who is a camera nut to bring her DSLR to take macro shots of my tank. HAHAH

Where is the output located, near the input as well? If the output pump is near to the input, please direct it further away.... How about the calibration? Have you calibrated the chiller?

ahhaha actually the overflow box is not included in the 4 feet length.. it's an extension... anyway NO more LS.. now it's just gonna be small coral frags.... we went to see Jetski's 2M long tank.. and man.. NEXT TIME NEXT TIME.... now, we are going to install a condenser unit.. my parents are complaining of the heat in the dining room so hee hee, I now have green light to run a condenser!!!

Love your powder blue... so big and healthy.. sigh we never had luck with all the powders we bought.. .. give up. I'm sure your tangs will grow fat with all that algae around to graze.. sigh seeing this 2M tank and I am so so so so so GIAN to change... my poor fishes have a mere 1.2M to swim niah. arugh! hope the rest of your fishes do well.

you can check with the LFses or with the person you are contracting to do your tank as they should know some people ... I will PM you the contact that I am using for my future condenser

you should go for condenser if you can. Cools down the tank in a shorter period of time.

sometimes I can throw a large live rock at my husband.. he ask for 2.5 feet width and 2 feet height for easier scaping and yet now he keeps on getting it mixed it up....:chair: It's 2.5 feet WIDE and 2 feet HIGH JL...

To start the monday, I added in this other Ric to the pico from my main tank.. Today is the Beginning of Week 9 of pico Clam doing very well... regular dosing of bits of CA, MG and KH on top of the weekly WC of about 1.5L using matured tank water.

Hey JL, your tank setup is very similar to what I have, you can check out mine and ketchup's tank thread ( Desi and Ketchup tank) in the member tank thread forum whereby I stated in the first msg my exact specifications. From my original setup, I have amended my lights from the Gisseman now to Ecolamp LED as the heat emitted from the Gisseman ( 2 x 250wat MH & 4 54watt attinics) was killing me... and although now i'm still running my Arctica 1/4, I will be changing to a condensor unit soon for more efficient cooling. good luck.

Here is a top down view of the tank to end the week... Week 8 endeth! The sides look dark but actually it ain't. THe big blob on the bottom left hand side is actually green mushy. haha

lol cover with newspaper? LOL no longer neat. hahahaah it will be a mountain of newspaper like that!! well.. they always preach about improving working environment.. so it does.. people come and see the shimmering LED and feel more relaxed.. hahah all I am lacking is aromatherapy and soft music ....

I agree with macro. from your pic your tank is really really small and u have huge clams in there and a YT? I am curious as to why put in a YT when everything is dominated by the clam? your pic seems zoomed in so we can't see the rest of your tank so based on what I see, it seems too small for the LS you have. As for the PAR 38, it IS indeed a nice light for picos/nanos. oh and btw YT likes to graze, I don't see any Live rocks in your setup for it to graze at all, much less space to swim.

hahaha peacemaker, I was one of the few early birds in the office on monday and most people weren't in yet ... LOL the fishtank maketh me be early to work! LOL

aiptipsia? Taihitian Butterfly for the win.... the little fella has really CLEARED my entire main tank of aiptipsia.. even the kick ###### ones in hard to reach places are no longer alive!! or at least I cannot see them anymore...... but now.. it's nipping at my zoos and my one and only Prata...... LOL that's why the sunkist is in my pico.... well it was a risk I took when I bought it to control the aptipsia population... I was hoping my constant feeding of pellets and the occasional treat of mysis would deter it from zoo nipping.. but oh well... can't have it all!

well luckily they have individual circuits for every desk... so since it was my desk stuff then only me is affected and no one else... Hengz. LOL

GOt a scare in the beginning of the week, I came into office on Monday and my lighting had blown! and had caused the circuit for my desk to be blown too.. thank god not the whole office otherwise i'd be in deep water.. The tank was still for god knows how long, I assume only from sunday or it could have been saturday.. heaven knows. quite strange as the whole of last week my tank was on timer and no issues but it Had to blow over the weekend? The office security peeps mentioned it could be the adaptor I was using but then again.. who knows.. I went to buy new adaptors anyway... Dr Evil replaced the bulb on MOnday itself and everything is as good as new. Keeping fingers crossed. Added in the sunkist and purple fission rock from my main tank as the Taihitian Butterfly was constantly whacking it.... And the candy apple zoos as well... the sunkist and purple fission are opening nicely in the pico but the Candy apple is not.. hopefully it can recover from the nippings of the butterfly in the relatively safety of my little office pico.
