Last update before I leave office for 2 weeks.. leaving the pico in the hands of my colleague to care for with an emergency fellow Reefer colleague to fall back on in times of need. LOL, already left behind a bottle of RO/DI water, food etc with instruction to just feed twice a day with a couple of pellets and top up water on Mon/Wed/Fri. Have removed the rock of sunkists and purple fission back to the main tank at home. FTS as of today Top Down Mini Maxi BTA Did a Major water change yesterday, plucked out as much algae as possible, cleaned the walls... will HAVE to buy some algae eating critters when I get back in 2 weeks time...have cut down the lighting to 5.5 hours a day.. so hopefully that helps a bit. Yeah Larry, I am now going to look at my electricity bill most carefully for the next 3 months or so and see whether there's any difference... problem is that the past month plus ketchup and I have NOT used our aircon at night but the last couple of days including today is SO HOT... we have been turning it on.. so... LOL Hahaha a bit hard to compare but I suppose a time span of 4-6 months I should be able to see what's the difference in electric bill. I have had to put in a mini aquabee pump to have some current flowing against the titanium coil so that the cold "oil" in it doesn't get clogged up if the area around the coil is stagnant as according to nelson the area where i put my coil in doesn't have enough flow.. anyway the heat coming out of that mini pump is minimal @ siangz... aiyo right now I want to see how much elec my condenser will help me save.... I will use my spare Gisseman perhaps in the future...... 2nd tank perhaps? Ketchup is trying to poison me.. but I don't think we will do it la.. @digibee I will PM

Hi all, we just decommed our Arctica Chiller today after replacing it with a condenser unit. It's a DBE-200 1/4 HP Arctica Chiller we got from Reef Depot when our 4 footer unit came in on the 29/30th December 2009. We started using it from the 1st of Jan 2010 so it's exactly been used 1 yr 2 months and 26 days. Currently we would like to sell it at $1K. Interested parties, please PM me and we can work out a price should that be not your cup of tea to a level both of us can be comfortable with. Here's a picture of it after decom. It is now sitting in my store room.

FINALLY I got my condenser!! Nelson from Chilldown came and installed it .. very neat and tidy work... of course before that I had to get my carpenter down to cut through my wooden frame on my patio doors and also to cut the fish tank cabinet so that the trunking can go along it.... I will be buying those laminate paper from the DIY stores to disguise the white trunking and I also have the cabinet laminate to cover the white trunking part along the tank. My Arctica 1/4 HP chiller is now removed and pending for sale.. so .. anyone out there wants a 1 yr 2 months and 26 day old chiller? PM ME! I wanted to get the berghia but I did read that they may end up being expensive Wrasse food so I decided to take the risk with a coral nipping butterfly ( aiyai yai it's my little butterfly! )

FTS as of today.. Ketchup wants me to bring home the sunkist.. hhmmm... Having algae problem.. will be turning off the light from Friday afternoon and turn it back on MOnday. Also will replace the chemipure and rowaphos in the IOS on Monday during the next water change. Have also decreased my photoperiod from 8 hours down to 6. Hope that helps. Already changed 1L of water today after I scrubbed some of the rocks and clipped off some algae using my scissors. HAHA... couldn't tahhan anymore!

mix the frozen food and pellets in a bowl, put a bit of garlic guard or selcon ( 1 or 2 drops of each is enough).. let it sit for a few minutes then throw it in..... .your BT may mistake the pellets as frozen food if it "tastes" the same... and after awhile it should be happy to take it. give it a try.. besides if since there are other fish around, monkey see monkey do.. that's the method I use when I notice a new fish doesn't eat pellets.
