  1. your tank looks more suited for freshwater than marine and your tank is too small for the fishes that you have put in. Are you doing constant water changes? I see no wave maker and no filtration system at all for the tank! Airstone is not suitable for marine tank btw.
  2. MY FAV FISHES!!!!!!! AAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wan I wan I wan....

  7. love the lobo.. I have tried 2 lobos and all didn't make it. haiz.... I think i'd try again if I find a beautiful specimen!! Where did you find yours?
  8. yes your 1 feet cube is too small for tangs or korans.. both will outgrow your tank... only small fish like firefish, gobies and blennies will not outgrow your 1 footer cube. hang on skimmer, how about the Red Sea prizm skimmer.
  9. yes I agree, your tank is not cycled, you introduced the fishes on the 2nd day..or was it the night itself? That's insane. If you want to cycle, throw in a couple of peeled market prawns, that will do and let them rot. It takes about 2 weeks ( and that's with added help of copious amounts of bacteria) to finish the cycling period... 1 month is the usual time. this time around, if the rest of your fishes uplorry, please leave it empty.. and don't add so many fishes in at one shot since your tank isn't mature.. do it slowly. Your ammonia levels should always be ZERO ... please use proper carbon and not charcoal.

  16. the canon led light 50 watt was $750-790 and above whilst the 100w is about a hundred more. I can't remember the exact price. the new dozing pump from Coral Shop is $630 with 4 bottles of additives ( CA, strotonium plusBorium, Sol Dom and Sol Trace). I was standing there with ketchup debating whether or not to buy but since it's so new and no stock on hand, we left name and contact to register our interest. I like the design, sleek and small taking up very little space! And thanks Larry for asking, still coughing, met Luke, wilson and Kiko ) walked around aquarama yesterday admiring at so many things to buy but so little moola lol
  17. I really love the NPS SRC display tank!! Well done guys!!! so many good deals!!!!
  18. hey sherman, thanks.. however I still feel it was a misrep as when it was first being marketed, all we had was the broschure and the broschure shows LED strips ALL the way to the end and there was nothing to indicate to me that I would not get 40 inches of LED rather than 34-35 inches worth instead. I take it as a lesson learnt, buyer beware scenario. thanks again.
  19. sigh no wonder it was dazed.... SG level must be low indeed
  20. everyone loves super suns.. so colorful and and fatttt.. Takes me like 25mins to feed 3 colonies of my super sunnies.. constantly need to fend off my fishes to prevent them from pulling out the mysis from the super sunny head! I think that's all I can handle already.
  21. I got ecolamp and after the initial botch up of the timer which caused the whole light system to spoil ( within 1-2 months of having it.... then it got replaced)... so far so good.. I have nothing to complain about it right now. The new timer works so far.. fingers crossed. And yes.. the only good thing about ecolamp is that it's an auto dimmable function ( can't turn that off) which means it will gradually turn on and takes about 20 mins to be full on blue and full on daylight, and takes 20 mins to dim back down to blue or down from blue to moonlight... Other than the auto dimmable function, there really is nothing fantastic. So far, my LPS is fine, and the SPS only survives and grows if I put it directly under the LED... if I place it too far ( angle) away , the SPS will either die or will simply not grow.... so all my SPS now is directly below the "spot" light effect of my LED. The following complaint I have to me is bad misrepresentation from Ecolamp : The length of the LED strips vs the length of the light set. When I got mine, the last 2-3 inches from either side of the lightset had zero LED strips so since I got a KR92-40( KR92 being the model and 40 being the 40 inch length of the lightset ) I only had about 34-36 inches worth of LED. This was main thing which I felt very cheated on as the broschure showed the LED strips all the way to the end and the distributor didn't enlighten me on this. And please note for every 2 inches increase in length, there is a price jump.... Currently Eco lamp has come up with newer models ( got mine last yr May/June?) so maybe they have changed but I would advise you to confirm.. DOUBLE CONFIRM and chop... how much LED you're gonna get if you get the lightset. good luck in your choice.. go take a look at both and see what fits your preference.
  22. my personal opinion is that I dont think it's worth all the hassle if you know up front the problems people face with the tank. It's too narrow and it really restricts you in allot of things you want to do. For the price, get a conventional tank is much better for scaping, lifestock, cleaning and attaching equipment. Getting a wall mounted tank is more for fresh water rather than marine.
