yeah you better turn off all the pumps and check where the water level is in your sump.. I hope that when they set it up they should have calculated for you and given you some allowance should pumps fail or there is an electric power trip, and everything goes off, that you won't come home or wake up to a flood in your living room. Should have a couple of inches allowance from the top. Do put the inlet ( your chiller pump) and the oulet of your chiller into seperate compartments.. much more efficient that way.. it's more efficient that way. Looking good.. keep the updates coming!

my BT suddenly whacked my Mandarin by bitting it's tail. I was so shocked, I rapped the glass to get him to stop. So weird, my BT is the most peaceful fish and of all fishes whack mandarin. This morning, Mandarin was dead.
And to think it's been with me for 1.5 years and growing so big and fat. Haiz.. First AT and now mandarin.. what a 2 weeks. -
hey yeo.. nice .. but it looks like you have got way way too many fish in a small tank... your tangs and clowns are gonna grow....and the 2 footer is definitely not enough space.. especially I see the size of your powder brown and blue tang in the tank... quite cramp leh. time to upgrade!

wow his Tangs are HUGEEEE btw I agree go for 2 return so that if 1 fails.. you have 1 still working.. and get either ehiem or perhaps Red Dragon?

your glass is too thin.. please note that Salt water is allot heavier than freshwater....and you have to start from scratch. Do change the tank for your own future sanity! You wouldn't want to suddenly hear a crash in your house and water and LS all over the floor... and in this instance, Vivian Balakrishna can't be called in to save the day...

For a 6 footer, I would straight away go 1. Drop in coil compressor chiller ( I assume you're gonna have a sump as to me a tank that size should not go for a canister filter) 2. An Overpowered skimmer. I personally prefer Deltec but it's up to you to troll the internet to see what brands are available and the reviews they have. 3. 2 feet height is good enough since your tank is gonna be wide of 3 feet, if you have any higher, its gonna be absolutely impossible to reach the middle. My current tank is 2.5 feet width and 2 feet high and I am having problems reaching the center... (I'm not that tall only 1.62 but my husband is 1.78M and he has problems reaching the center!) 4. Lights : really depends on what you wanna keep. You say Reef.. but reef has many kinds of corals.. LPS? SPS? Although MH gives out allot of heat, it depends on your setup. Totally enclosed? OPen? if yo're going to go for a 3 feet width, you're gonna need ALLOT more modules of the LED ( depending on which brand and model you go for) in order for the sides to get sufficient light. I am using an EColamp KR92 and my sides are not as bright as I want them to be .. if I really wanted to ensure my whole tank is brightly lit, I would need 2 modules of the KR92 hanging side by side so that again is the COST factor. LED is way more expensive but of course you save in the electric bills. There are many other brands of LED in the market so do take a look too. 5. Any idea which wavemakers you going for? TUnze? VOrtech? good luck.

my AT has suddenly broken out in Itch the last 4-5 days..
getting more and more.. and last night and this morning, hardly eating. YT. BT and rest of fishes not affected! WHY! THe only thing new I added in after WC on Sunday was Vit C. -
Which would you recommend to remove parasites on fishes?

my cleaner wrasse does a good job cleaning all my fish and for some reason almost all the fish I put in my tank end up eating the seaweed, pellets and any darn thing I throw in.. LOL But of course no way can eradicate white spot.... as long as your fish is healthy, they will be able to fight it off. -
perhaps the word Quarantine would be inappropriate to use here.. perhaps more of an Isolation tank to let fishes heal and get fat before being reintroduced to the main tank.
