Counting down 11 hours 50 minutes before bid closes. This is a rare collector's item. Do not miss the opportunity to own this unique specimen. Do not wait until the last few seconds to put in your bid as your PC may hang at that precise moment (Murphy's Law). -

Rare Hybrid Powder Blue Tang for Bid

I have received a PM bid for $45 from a reefer who wishes to remain anonymous. So the latest bid now is $45. Bidding by PM is not encouraged as it may cause timing problem especially towards closing time. -

Rare Hybrid Powder Blue Tang for Bid

Thank you for your support. I pray my fish can find a good owner. -
The attached 2.5 inches Hybrid Powder Blue Tang is up for bid. This fish had been quarantine for 3 weeks. Please note, your tank must be matured wth plenty of LRs (at least 6 months old) for this Tang to do well. It is currently Ich free in my tank. Eating mysis, brine shrimp, New Life Spectrum pellet, red bamboo, cheato and nori. Ideal tank size should be bigger than 4ft. Please do not buy this fish if you already have an existing Powder Blue Tang or Powder Black Tang. Believe me I have tried. I must emphasise this is a difficult fish to climatise. However, once it is stablised, it is very hardy. Therefore be a responsible reefer, buy this fish only if you feel you are able to give it a good home. Starting Bid : $28 Bid Increment : $1 Bid End Date : 23:59 hour 2 Oct 2009 (based on my watch's time) Collection date : 3 or 4 Oct 2009 Venue : Bedok Area (address will be given to successful bidder)

At the moment, I will let the small hybrid stay in the betta box and fatten it up first. I will not stress out the resident Powder Blue by trying to remove it. Will most likely sell off the hybrid via an auction.
-
I agree with you absolutely. Before I lay eyes on this hybrid, I knew PBT will not tolerate another one of its kind in the same tank. All that consideration went out the window the minute I saw this little fella. I just gotta have him. Now I am in a dilemma. There is no way I can give up my 4.5" inches PBT. I still have a 3" AT under quarantine.
-
Thanks for the advise. Will give them a chance to get aquainted. If it cannot work out I will have to sell the hybrid to someone who can take good care of it.

My 2.5" Hybrid Powder Blue Tang after 3 week's quarantine. Sorry about the poor picture quality (using my phone camera). 100% inch free and feeding on red bamboo, mysis, pellet and nori. I hope my resident 4" Powder Blue Tang will welcome this little fella with open fin. The top and bottom yellow finage is absolutely gorgeous. The normal PBT has a white chest. This hybrid has a blue chest making the whole fish completely blue. The tail also has a yellow vertical band. Really love this fish.

Fish reserved pending collection.

I have decided to use Tau Huay tubs since this appears to be the de-facto container for Cheato. Last 3 Tau Huay Tubs left. Each tub of Cheato comes with plenty of fat and juicy pods for your Mandarins or picky eaters.

I have a healthy and fat Seagrass File Fish for sale. It is about 1.5" in size. Selling for $12. It has been with me for about 1 year. If you have a Aiptasia infestation, this will be the fish for you. It will also eat mysis and pellets. Collection at Tanah Merah MRT Station. Please PM me if you are keen.

Sorry, but I do not have any record of you ordering. Anyway thank you for your interest.

Sorry bro, I already have a flame-back clown cannot accomodate the maroon clown. Anyway, I am trying to reduce my bioload. Thanks for the offer. I would rather sell the Picasso.
-
I have a 3" Picasso Trigger to sell at $20. Eats everything including nori. With me for 2 years. Please note, your tank size should be at least 4 ft. This fish should not be kept with timid or docile fish or shrimps. Collection can be at Jurong Point or Tanah Merah MRT. Please PM me if you are keen.

Your parameter readings sounds too good to be true. You may want to use another brand to measure. Regardless of what your readings are, your life stock tells you the most accurate picture. If they are not swimming happily then they are telling you your water condition is far from ideal. You cycled your tank without the LR. Your tank is no where near cycled. We normally include the LR with or without sand when we are cycling our tanks. I suggest you continue to do 20% water change and add bacteria on a weekly basis. Do not add anymore fish. Feed your fish once a day. You need to give time for the bacteria population to grow. After 1 to 2 months you can resume normal feeding regime if your fish are swimming about happily. Please note, it normally takes 3 to 6 months for a tank to mature. During this time you should refrain from adding new fish. Your tank is too small to accommodate 4 tangs. You will need to add more flows if you want to keep tangs.
-
How old is your tank ? It will be useful for you to state some basic information about your tank. If your tank is less than 3 months old, chances are it had not been properly cycled. Your fish may be poisoned by high ammonia or nitrite. If this is the case, please do not add anymore fish. Wait for 1 month before you add your first fish. Let this fish stablise (meaning eating well and not dying) before adding the next one. It is a bad idea to add many fishes at the same time. This hobby needs alot of patience. If you do not have this pre-requisite, it is unlikely you will be able to sustain this hobby for long.
